ABSTRACT
Srivastava [12], [9], Dubey & Dubey [3], Bhola & Sharma [1] Pandey &Dubey [6]; Considered three self
mappings and obtained a unique common fixed point. Here we generalized the contraction used by above authors for five
maps and obtained a unique fixed point.

INTRODUCTION
Srivastava [9] used the inequality as follows

Then, E, F, T have a unique common fixed point if

Here we have generalized the contraction on five self maps as follows:

T1 , T2 , T3 , T4 & T5 on X to itself

We see that under certain condition we get a unique common fixed point.

MAIN RESULTS
Let (X, d) be a complete metric space &

Ti : X X ; i = 1,2,3,4,5 be five mapping satisfying [1.4] and [2.1]

as follows
[2.1]

T2 x T5 y;

i 0,

T5 (T1T2 ) = (T1T2 )(T5 ), T5 (T3T4 ) = (T3T4 )(T5 )

T1T2 = T2T1 , T3T4 = T4T3

T1T2 ( X ) T5 ( X ), T3T4 ( X ) T5 ( X )
Then

Ti (i = 1 to 5) have a unique common fixed point in X.

Proof: Let

x0 , x1 , x 2 X and T1T2 ( X ) T5 ( X ) such that

T1T2 ( x0 ) = T5 ( x1 ), T3T4 ( x1 ) = T5 ( x 2 )
T3T4 ( X ) T5 ( X )
Since

T1T2 x 2 n = T5 x 2 n +1 , T3T4 x 2 n +1 = T5 x 2 n+1 , replace x x 2 n & y x 2 n 1 , then we have from [1.4]

[2.3]

d (T5 x 2 n +1 , T5 x 2 n ) = d (T1T2 x 2 n , T3T4 x 2 n 1 )

d (T1T2 x 2 n , T3T4 x 2 n 1 ) C1

+ C2

d (T5 x 2 n , T1T2 x 2 n )d (T5 x 2 n 1 , T3T4 x 2 n 1 )

+ C 3 [d (T5 x 2 n , T1T2 x 2 n ) + d (T5 x 2 n 1 , T3T4 x 2 n 1 )]

+ C 5 [d (T5 x 2 n , T5 x 2 n 1 ) + d (T1T2 x 2 n , T3T4 x 2 n 1 )]
+ C 6 d (T5 x 2 n , T5 x 2 n 1 ).
Which yields from (2.2) and using Property of Metric Space.

d (T5 x 2 n +1 , T5 x 2 n ){1 C1 C 3 C 5 } d (T5 x 2 n1 , T5 x 2 n )(C 3 + C 4 + C 5 )

Or

Where

0<K =

Thus

[T5 x2n ] is a Cauchy Sequence in complete metric space X & have a common fixed point u in X such that

[2.5]

T5 x 2 n +1 = u = nT5 x 2 n

Now if

Which is a Contraction therefore

T1T2 (u ) = T5 (u ), Also we have T5 (u ) = T3T4 (u ), hence

[2.8]

T1T2 (u ) = T5 (u ) = T3T4 (u ), and

T5 (T5 u ) = T5 (T1T2 u ) = T1T2 (T1T2 u ) = T1T2 (T3T4 u ) = T1T2 (T5 u ) = T5 (T3T4 u )

[2.9]

= T3T4 (T5 u ) = T3T4 (T1T2 u ) = T3T4 (T3T4 u )

Now if

T1T2 u T3T4 (T1T2 u )

d (T 5 u , T1T 2 u ) d (T 5 T1T 2 u , T 3 T 4 T 3 T 4 u )
d (T 5 u , T 5 T 3 T 4 u )

[2.10]

d (T1T 2 u , T 3 T 4 (T1T 2 u )) C 1

+ C2

d (T5 u, T3T4T3T4 u )d (T5T3T4 u, T3T4T3T4 u )

d (T1T2 u, T3T4T3T4 u )

+ C 3 [d (T5 u , T1T2 u ) + d (T5T3T4 u , T3T4T3T4 u )]

+ C 4 [d (T5 u , T3T4T3T4 u ) + d (T5T3T4 u , T1T2 u )]
+ C 5 [d (T5 u , T5T3T4 u ) + d (, T1T2 u , T3T4T3T4 u )] + C 6 d (T5 u , T5T3T4 u ) .
Therefore (2.10) reduces to

d (T5 u , T5T5 u )(1 2C 4 2C 5 C 6 ) 0

Or equivalently
(2.11)

d (T5 u , T5T5 u ) 0

Which is a Contraction, therefore

T5 (T5 (u )) = T5 (u )
Also

T3T4 (T1T2 u ) = T1T2 u

Thus we get
Thus

T1T2 u = v is a common fixed point of T5T1T2 & T3T4 , if possible we take another common fixed point of

T1T2T5 & T3T4 .Thus

[d ( , w)] = [d (T1T2 v, T3T4 w)]

[2.12] which is a view of [1.4] yields

Common Fixed Point Theorem of Four Mapping

d ( , w) C1

[d (T5 , T1T2 )]d (T5 w, T5T4 w) + C [d (T5 , T3T4 w)d (T5 w, T3T4 w)]
d (T5 , T5 w)

d (T1T2 , T3T4 w)

+ C 3 [d (T5 , T3T4 ) + d (T5 w, T3T2 w)] + C 4 [d (T5 , T3T4 w) + d (T5 w, T1T2 )]

+ C 5 [d (T5 , T5 w) + d (T1T2 , T3T4 w)] + C 6 d (T5 , T5 w)
Equation [2.12] reduced to

d ( , w)(1 2C 4 2C 5 C 6 ) 0
Or equivalently

d ( , w) = 0 = w
Now to show that is a unique common fixed point of

T1 , T2 , T3 , T4 & T5 we find that

T1 ( ) = T1 (T1T2 v) = T1 (T2T1v) = T1T2 (T1 ) T1

Which implies that
obtain

T1 is as another fixed point of T1 & T2 .Hence by uniqueness of fixed point of T1 & T2 , we

a fixed point of T , similarly a unique fixed point of T , T , T

& T5 .Hence proved.
