MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 13-15; Titus 3
Monday, October 26
Matt. 17:17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how
long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 19-21; Hebrews 1
Wednesday, October 28
John 9:6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the
spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
Eph. 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for
whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Oh Merciful Lord:
They just tried to kill you (John 8:59)! They picked up stones to throw at you
for claiming to be God. But as soon as you saw the blind man you stopped, as if
no bloodthirsty foes were following. Your disciples also stoppedbut only to ask
legalistic questions! How like me, and how unlike my Master. You were always
ready to act. The disciples wanted to know why the man was born blind, but you
wanted to heal him from his blindness.
Lord, why do I stop to question and argue over somebodys sin, instead of
just pointing him or her to the Savior? All the time, I try to speculate about
certain strange providences in my life. But you are always seeking-out the
cure, not the cause. Anoint my eyes! Because if I would only get your remedy,
then I would see the world like I have never seen it before.
Man is born blind. My friends, relatives and acquaintances were born blind.
Father Adam put out our eyes. In our natural state we cannot see spiritual things.
Our spiritual optic nerve is dead. But you have sent your Son into the world. His
gospel is despicable to menalmost like spittle. The thought of it disgusts many
hardened agnostics. But Lord, we can put the gospel on the blind eye! Like clay, it
seems like it would make us more blind than before, but
1 Cor. 1:21 after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God,
it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
The Holy Spirit is so like Siloams pool. When we come to you by him, the
conviction of sin is washed away. The blind eyes that once saw no beauty in
divine things start to see in a heavenly light. Thank you King Jesus! Amen.
Sovereign Master:
Bring your light, not just to save me, but to silence me and to show me.
Give me grace to stand up and plead your cause to others, because then an
invisible Advocate also appears, the Holy Spirit, whose pleadings make it hard for
men and women to resist the truth.
John 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness,
and of judgment:
Here is the map of the Holy Spirits ways on a heart for revival. Convince
me and convict me of my sin!
Isa. 40:7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD
bloweth upon it:
So blow on me, Holy Spirit of God! There is a withering word I need to
experience from your Spirit before I will know your restoring and reviving power.
The withering is necessary for our church, so I insist on it. There are too many
today who are puffed-up and have never been pulled-down; so many filled who
were never once empty; so many exalted who are never yet humbled.
I do not even understand the sinfulness of my own sin until the x-ray of the
Holy Spirit falls on my dark, malignant mass. So convince me of my need for
righteousness. I cannot create that righteousness from myself; I have to receive it
from above. Cover my sin by Christs blood and make me acceptable to you.
I am a sinner. The next step should be judgment, but instead it is not. It is a
hitherto unknown intervening work of your Spirit to show me my need for your
righteousness. Give it to me by revival, I pray in Jesus precious name. Amen.
Gen. 37:13 And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed the flock in
Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I.
Psa. 107:38 He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth
not their cattle to decrease.
Lord, we plead for your blessing!
David uses the phrase, He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly, and
in like manner, we beg you for such a visitation of the Holy Spirits power that
our church is increased on every side, and our childrens ministry will flourish.
We confess Lord, we are minished and brought low whenever we leave our
first love by losing our first works (Rev. 2:4-5). Father, help us make children love
your word, love the gospel, love this church. Make us love one another in front o
them. And replace all worldly affection with compassion for the lost, because
without that we have a name to live, but do not (Rev. 3:1).
Help us recognize that witnessing to souls is our personal responsibility. Let
me feel lost unless lost souls are saved. Let me feel broken unless shattered lives
are put back together. Give me heartbreak over sinners whose hearts are not
broken! Give me painful anxiety for those who are not yet anxious. And then, in
answer to my repentance, bring them to repent! In answer to my faith, bring
them to believe. And in reply to my prayers, move them to call on you. You say
you will do it; so we seek it as a personal blessing to our children and our church.
We thank you for those who are healthy. Use those who are not, or those
who nurse infants, to help us keep-up prayer through the night watches. And
Lord, give us souls to fill the gaps in our church. Let those who do not have
public ministry pray privately, and so make-strong all those who go to the
frontat church, at work, and in the home. Help us teach new believers to pray
with power. And aid all of us, from our inmost soul, to continue to inquire of
youfor souls, for blessing, for Holy Spirit power. We ask for the sake of Jesus.
Psa. 6:9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
LORD:
If I have times of weeping, let me shorten them. Then let me get up and
put distance between the evil man and me. It is not enough for me to complain
about the desecration of the temple of my heart, and my need for revival; I have
to drive-out the buyers and sellers, and overturn their tables. Help me hate, even
more than I do, the sins that cost my Savior his blood.
There is a voice to my weeping. Weeping is the eloquence of my sorrow
over sin. Tears are an unstammering orator, needing no interpreter. Tears are
my liquid prayer. I can weep when I cannot plead, for the LORD hath heard the
voice of my weeping (Psa. 6:8).
Psa. 7:1 O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that
persecute me, and deliver me:
What a blessing Lord, if you will allow me to turn even the most disastrous
events of my life into a theme for a song of praise. Whatever my problems, it will
always be right to reaffirm my reliance on you. It is never right to distrust you,
and never vain to rest on you.
No amount of innocence will shield me from slander, but let me decrease
the market for lies. Help me put forth so much of the truth there is no one left to
believe lies. I ask you for strength. I plead for your grace.
I understand my need for revival, Lord. Bring it not for my sake, but for the
sake of your Son, who died for all those who will be affected by revival in my life.
Let me lead some soul to the Savior before the end of this year (even at our
Trunk or Treat)! Let me stand strong to defend the faith. Give me greater
appreciation for my brethren. In Jesus name and power do this. Amen and amen.

HARVEST BAPTIST CHURCH WEEKLY WAR STRATEGY SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE TIMES 8:00, 9:00 & 11:00A.M.
HARVEST BAPTIST CHURCH
HOW TO BUILD A BALANCED LIFE
THIS WEEKS EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
1)
TIMEWORSHIP
Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.
2)
TITHEWORK
1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3)
TEAMWORD
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.
TODAY

INSTRUCTIONS:
Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use prepared prayers because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
MONDAY 7:00P.M.
HBC Choir rehearsals start!
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of requests you might
not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to God. We
have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you through the

Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.
Alan
Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
