March Madness Fitness Slips Due Tuesday Next Week

Students have a letter and calendar that explains this program. If they want to participate, they need to cut the
prior week off the calendar and bring it in on Tuesday – and do this for the entire month. Students need to get 30
minutes of physical activity for five out of seven days and have their days signed by a parent.

We did not win this last week, but we will prevail! I hope that we can have more students participate so we can get
more of those delicious Dairyland smoothies!
OAAO Awards
These are the students nominated for March: Clayton, Nycole, Sydney, Emily, Rylan, and Everett.

PWLC – Prairie Restoration

Students planted seeds both outside and in their own personal containers in the greenhouse. They also studied why
restoration is so important to the prairie. Thank you to the helpers (pictures above) for you help!

Spelling and Buzzwords

Please encourage your child to study these words! An added incentive for accuracy on both of these tests is to be
part of the group leaving for recess first.

New Math Unit

We finished up with some fractions and now we are working with measurement and data. The Family Letter is
attached.

Wet Wipes
If you happen to be in the giving mood, I would deeply appreciate disinfecting wipes for my classroom! We use
them at the end of the week to keep germs away.

Lisa’s Farewell
I had a wonderful time working with your child in the classroom and appreciate all of your support! Now I will be
visiting my family in the Twin Cities area and then return to the Morris campus in late April. I will miss the class
dearly and hope to visit at least once before I graduate!
I will be checking my e-mail, so I am still available.
