Classroom teacher reported student skill deficits in understanding of plagiarism, finding research sources, gathering facts from research sources, and creating citations for research sources. The students will be researching a person from the Civil War and writing a biography on this person. Students will learn about the ethical uses of information. Students will learn how to cite sources correctly. Students will gather 5 facts about their Civil War person and correctly cite the sources for these facts. CCGPS SS5H1 The student will explain the causes, major events, and consequences of the Civil War. b. Discuss how the issues of states rights and slavery increased tensions between the North and South. d. Describe the roles of Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S.
