OIL ANALYSIS PROGRAM

1.- INTRODUCTION.
Fluid analysis is a preventive maintenance tool that provides diagnostic testing
designed to evaluate lubricant condition, component wear and contamination in
mobile and industrian apliccations.
This is a prevent program, maintenance and diagnostic of tool, machine and oil.
Oil analysis program valuable de equipments and oils by providing solutions for lubrications. Oil
analysis program works with fully equipped laboratories staffed by highly trained analysts and
offers a complete line of services to help you save money and extend the life of your
equipments.
Excellent services: Oil analysis program provides a excellent service, with reports very easy to
understand, recommendations about that you should do.
High-Quality Testing: Oil analysis program has a laboratory, which is highly qualified, the
results are completely confidential.
Information: Oil analysis program delivers in 24-48 hours the results, in this results you can find
a complete and excellent information.

2.- WHY OIL ANALYSIS PROGRAM?

Because this program you will know the condition of lubrication and internal component wear,
and you can save time and money.
1.- You can know the condition of the oil allows you to optimize drain intervals.
2.- Knowing the condition of the oil, you can extend equipment life.
3.- You can prevet major problem, wear, dirt, fuel dilution.
4.- Maximize asset reliability: Testing and analysis ensure that equipment is up, running
and making money.
5.- Increase resale value, because the next customer will be able to check, if the
machine have haven a good preventive maintenance, and you will be able to justify the
preventive maintenance.
3.- TREND ANALYSIS PROGRAM
A TREND requires at least three samples:
1 st.- A trend requires is of some value. One sample can be a basic diagnosis of a
condition the exists.

2 nd.- Sample is of more value.

3 rd.- Sample is of great value.

With a trend, continue and established in the time you can detect an early alert to problems.
The span of time between the samples should be consistent to see a True Trend.

4.-OBTAINING AN OIL SAMPLE.

Obteining fluid is relatively simple, sampling methods may depend to the type of equipment
from which the sample is taken.
Mobile vehicles require a vacuum pump while, common industrial apllications may give direct
access through a sample valve or system reservoir. Some industrial equipment may require a
vacuum pump.
4.1.-Sampling with a vacuum pmp
A vacuum pump is used to take samples from a dipstick or non-pressurized system.

To use a vacuum pump, securely attach a sample bottle to the pump. Attach a clena tube to the
top of the pump and tighten the lock ring. Place the free end of the tube into the distick retaining
tube or oil fill port, making sure not to allow contact between tubing and bottom of reservoir.
Pump the plunger until oil flow is consistent and then pump only as needed to maintain
consistent flow.
4.2-Sampling through a sample valve
This sampling method requires the equipment be in operation. Open the sampling valve and
allow a small amount of oil to flush contaminants from the valve. The sample bottle under the
valve and obtain the sample.
4.3- Sampling from a system reservoir.
The oil must be drained from the plug for a few moments before the samples is taken so
contaminants that have settled around the drain are flushed out. Once the drain has been
flushed, place the sample bottle in the oil stream and collect the sample. Using the reservoir an
oil sample because the bottom of the reservoir contains elevated amonunts of contaminants. It
should be used when the other options can not do.

The sample bottle should be filled about 3/4 full.

5.-SAMPLING PERIODS.
The sampling periods are:

6.- TESTING AND CONCLUSIONS

After our staff have taken the samples, this samples will go to the laboratory to do the testings.
We will provide a complete quality certificate, where you will be able to know the equipment
information, recommendations, element analysis, sample information, contaminants and fluid
properties. It also includes a miscellaneous information section for any additional information
recorded by the laboratory.
The quality certificate explain if necessary recommend action for rectifying significant changes
in the lubricant or the units conditions.
The quality certificate has a remarks, where we inform about the state of oil samples with a
score. The score will depends of result of the laboratory testings, there are three .
ABNORMAL: When the oil must be changed, because can spoil the machine or shorten the
equipment life.
NORMAL: When the oil can be used, but does not have the original properties
APPROPIATE: When the oil has a excellent porperties.

7.- MODEL OF QUALITY CERTIFICATE.
