Transformed the companys poorest performing region into a top-performer: Increased sales 30%+

Served on Executive Committee: Formulated strategy that led company through recession.
New Product Development: Developed and launched a full-line of private-label acetylated wood
products. Oversaw all marketing, legal, building code, and manufacturing steps while expanding
additional offerings under the brand.
Operations Re-engineering: Led management team in identifying and correcting critical problems.
o Reduced operating expenses by 67% while increasing productivity by slashing unnecessary costs.
o Improved product gross margins by 1.8% through quality issue resolutions and Warehouse
Management Systems.
New products: Initiated and launched sale of 6 new product lines within the company that currently
account for 60% of all gross margin dollars. Recognized as the new product leader within organization.
Inventory management: Reduced inventories by over 60% while improving fill-rates to 95% by
negotiating vendor-managed inventory agreements with key suppliers and implementing fail-safe SPO
(suggested purchase order) process which significantly reduced poor purchasing decisions.
Customer Resource Management: implemented application which resulted in higher customer
retention, sustainable growth, and market creditability by improving the overall sales process
effectiveness. Applied Cost-to-Serve accountancy tool to calculate profitability by customer &
territory resulting in improved profitability and Account Manager Accountability.
Introduced: Zero-Error program, which instilled accountability on all levels of customer service and
operations; reduced deviations to .04% of all orders processed.
