Company Profile
Megaworld Corporation is transforming the Metro Manila landscape
through a series of large-scale residential and office developments including
urban centers integrating office, residential and commercial components.
Apart from its core business of property development, Megaworld as a
holding company is into merchandise trading as well as hotel and leisure.
Megaworld continues to build upon a track record for quality and innovation
centered on customer satisfaction through high-caliber projects delivered on
time and backed by professional property management and after-sales
services.Today, the Megaworld brand reflects the proud achievements of a
property company whose various projects have enhanced the urban

Brief History

The Company was founded by Andrew Tan and incorporated under


Philippine law on August 24, 1989 to engage in the development, leasing and
marketing of real estate. The Company initially established a reputation for
building high-end residential condominiums and commercial properties
located in convenient urban locations with easy access to offices as well as
leisure and entertainment amenities in Metro Manila. Beginning in 1996, in
response to demand for the lifestyle convenience of having quality
residences in close proximity to office and leisure facilities, the Company
began to focus on the development of mixed-use communities, primarily for
the middle-income market, by commencing the development of its Eastwood
City community township. In addition, the Company engages in other
property related activities such as project design, construction oversight and

property management. In 1999, Eastwood City Cyberpark became the first IT


park in the Philippines to be designated a PEZA special economic zone.

Townships
McKinley West
La belle vie brought into the 21st century. Catering to Manilas upscale
market, Megaworld is developing McKinley West, a 34.5 hectare ultra high-

end township on the former JUSMAG property in Fort Bonifacio beside Forbes
Park and Manila Polo Club.

McKinley Hill

Iloilo Business Park


This 72-hectare township is envisioned to be the next central business
district in Iloilo City. Megaworld is investing P35 billion for its development in
the next 10 years, its biggest and most exciting venture in Western Visayas.
Soon Iloilo Business Park will see the rise of luxury residential condominiums,
state-of-the-art BPO office towers, a Megaworld Lifestyle Mall, a boutique
hotel and commercial district, the 1.1-kilometer Festive Walk commercial and
retail strip, open parks, transport hub, and the much-anticipated Iloilo
Convention Center, among others.

The Mactan Newtown


The Mactan Newtown is the first major township development with its own
beach outside Metro Manila. This 28.8-hectare mega-community combines

a school supervised by LASSO, and upscale hotels in one secured and
enclosed area.

Alabang West

P35 billion in the next 10 years to develop the township.
Davao Park District

Sta. Barbara Heights
Located at Brgy. Inangayan in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo, the 170-hectare Sta.
Barbara Heights is a mixed-use development of Megaworlds Global-Estate
Resorts, Inc. in Western Visayas. Thirty-four hectares of Sta. Barbara Heights
will be used for residential lots, which offer a scenic backdrop of rolling hills
and natural lake. The historical landmarks of the Iloilo Golf Course and
Country Club the oldest in Asia as well as the Santa Barbara Church and

Northill Gateway
On the northern part of Bacolod, where the famous Sugar Road was built, the
second township will soon rise and will be called Northill Gateway. It is
located on a 50-hectare property along the new Circumferential Road on the

The Upper East


The Upper East is located on a 34-hectare property that used to be the
Bacolod-Murcia Milling Company (BMMC) on the eastern side of Bacolod City.
It is bounded by Burgos Avenue on the north, Lopez Jaena Street on the west
and Circumferential Road on the east and is just across the New Government
Center. This prime location, which the locales simply refer to as East, is
now known to be Bacolods booming commercial and business process
outsourcing (BPO) district.
