MR. AND MS.

CCS CONTEST GUIDELINES


PURPOSE:
To search for outstanding male and female students who has ideals and values encompassing the aspects
of personality, beauty, talent and social responsibility.

General Rules
1. Each team must have one male and one female candidate. The team advisers shall be responsible
for screening the candidates in accordance to the rules and guidelines set by the Faculty
Coordinator.
2. The contestants, upon the endorsement of their respective team advisers must fill-in the official
entry form on the date specified by the Program Coordinator.
3. The team officers shall have two coordinators who will accompany the candidates during their
scheduled rehearsals, photo shoot and other related activities that are duly endorsed and approved
by the Office of the Dean of Computer Studies.
4. Design of attires and costumes to be worn during the competition should be submitted to the
pageant committee head for screening and approval. The design and sketch will be treated as
confidential. Once the design is approved, it must be worn during the pageant. Non-compliance
would mean no rating for that particular area of competition. Vulgarity of costumes and attires is
strictly not allowed.
5. The organizing committee has the right to call the attention of the candidates in cases of any
untoward behavior that would cause disturbance of the scheduled activity.
6. Candidates are not allowed to have personal contacts with the sponsors and the board of judges.
7. The committee will not assume responsibilities for any loss or damage of items (cash, jewelry,
etc.) of the candidates.
8. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable. In case of untoward incident that
may happen, to any title holder (e.g. disqualification due to valid reasons), the next in rank will
assume the title.
9.

The Office of the Dean of Computer Studies shall have the final decision regarding the contest
guidelines, activities and production treatment of the pageant.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. The candidate must be bona fide CCS students.
2. Must be of good moral character and have a pleasing personality.

SPECIAL AWARDS:

MR. AND MS. CONGENIALITY

Each candidate will choose from among their fellow candidates, whom they prefer/consider to be
the friendliest, thus possessing the Gordon College value of Friendship. This will be done through a secret
ballot prior to the pageant. The male and female candidates who will get the highest number of votes will
be declared as the MR. AND MS. CONGENIALITY.

The talent portion will be held on the second day of our CCS Week
MR. AND MS. TALENT
1. Performance must have a minimum of two (2) minutes and a maximum of three (3) minutes. One
minute will be allowed for the preparation. Time starts from the first movement of the candidate.
One point shall be deducted from every judges score for every 10 seconds in excess of the
allotted maximum time.
2. In case of a tie, point system will be applied. In case of a further tie, the Chairman of the Board of
Judges will break the tie.
3. Candidates who will use music for performance should submit their tapes or CDs to the
committee in-charge a day before the talent competition. One point will be deducted from the
over-all score if the candidate fails to comply with the deadline

4. Vulgar words/terms and indecent gestures are not allowed. The attire must justify the chosen
talent

MR. AND MS. PHOTOGENIC

The criteria include basis of photogenic beauty, captured personality or mood, technical
quality of photograph, the ability of contestant to share her true self in the image.
Mr. & Ms. Photogenic will be judge by Dean, Dr. Erlinda Abarintos

The pageant will be held in Ayala, Harbor Pointe SBMA.

After all score for each portion has been tabulated the top four pairs shall be announced as finalists and
they shall move to the final round of the competition where scores will be back to zero.
In the final round, common question will be asked to all finalists.

After the final round, scores will be tabulated to determine 3 rd runners up, 2nd runners up, 1st runners up
and MR. and MS. CCS
