Read the following text. Then, answer questions (a) (j).
comedo, the least severe form of acne, is the result of a clogged pore. Pores are the tiny
openings in your skin that you can see when you look very closely, especially in a magnifying
mirror. Inside those pores are hair follicles -- sacs beneath the skin that house the hair root -and that's where pimples begin. When your body produces excess sebum, it can combine
with dead skin cells and sometimes bacteria to plug up the pore. The result is a pimple -- a
comedo. If the comedo is closed at the skin's surface, it's called a whitehead. When it's open
at the skin's surface, and you can see the plugged follicle darkened by melanin buildup, it's
called a blackhead. Non-comedogenic cleansers are typically oil-free. They break down the
excess oils on your skin but don't strip your skin of the necessary moisture and nutrients it
needs. They are also sometimes called non-acnegenic cleansers. One thing to keep in mind is
that there aren't really any regulations specifying what a company has to do to call its
cleansers "non-comedogenic," and products labeled that way may not work for everyone.
Keep reading to find out what types of ingredients typically go into non-comedogenic
cleansers so you can narrow down which one might work best for you.

Question 3
Chocolate gets right to the heart of love by increasing the brains
level of serotonin, the feel-good brain chemical. Serotonin plays a major role in positive
mood, emotional health, proper sleep and balanced appetite, contributing to numerous
behavioral and physiological functions. Decreased serotonin is a well-known factor in
cases of depression. Women have more serotonin in their systems than men and
appear to be more sensitive to chocolate. Chocolate provides a mood boost to women
during PMS and menstruation, when serotonin levels are often down. It also puts
women in the mood for love. Men and women with depleted serotonin levels
demonstrate increased aggressive.
Violence, aggressive behaviors, and higher rates of suicide have all
been associated with reduced brain levels of serotonin. Many people consume
chocolate as a form of self-medication, whether they are aware of the fact or not.
Chocolates serotonin elevating activity helps to modify mood in positive ways. These
serotonin-related effects enhance the sense of closeness between two people.
Probably the most influential love compound in chocolate is PEA,
phenethylamine. This chemical, which occurs in chocolate in small quantities,
stimulates the nervous system and triggers the release of pleasurable opium-like
compounds known as endorphins. PEA also potentiates the activity of dopamine, a
neurochemical directly associated with the feeling of pleasure. PEA acts as a potent
antidepressant in both sexes and rises during times of falling in love. The giddy,
restless feelings that occur when we are in love are due to a great extent to PEA, which
significantly increases in the brain at that time, and when we fall in love. Some
scientists dismiss this notion, claiming that the PEA in chocolate is metabolized too
quickly to produce a significant mood-altering effect, but others disagree. Why else
would chocolate be associated with love and Valentines Day?
Other studies show that eating chocolate prevents blood clots, which
in turn reduces the risk of heart attacks. Blood platelets clump together more slowly in
chocolate eaters.
Did you know that chocolate is good for your skin? Especially dark chocolate.
Flavonoids found in dark chocolate protect womens skin from the suns UV rays,
according to German scientists.
A Swedish study found that eating more than 45 grams of chocolate
per weekabout two bars worthled to a 20 percent decrease in stroke risk among
women. Chocolate contains flavonoids, whose antioxidant properties help fight strokes.
However, most of the chocolate you buy in the grocery store is heavily processed,
which means that it has lost many of its healthy chemicals.

digital
of "printing" a three-dimensional object is done layer-by-layer.
One of the most important applications of 3D printing is in the medical industry.
With 3D printing, surgeons can produce mock-ups of parts of their patient's body which
needs to be operated upon. Prosthetic limbs, custom hearing aids and dental fixtures can
be printed out. The technology is now being used to create more complex structures
particularly human tissue.
Schools can benefit from it too because it provides teachers with 3 dimensional
visual aids that they can use in their classroom particularly in illustrating a hard to grasp
concept. 3D printers make it easy for teachers to seize the interest of their students
compared to just showing the pictorial representations of objects. It enhances hands-on
learning and learning by doing. It provides more room for interactive class activities. In
biology, for instance, teachers can create a 3D model of the human heart, head and
even skeleton to teach students about the human body.
On March 29, 2014, ten 3D printed houses, each measuring 200 square meters,
appeared in Shanghai, China. The buildings were created entirely out of concrete using a
gigantic 3D printer, and each costs only 30,000 RMB ($4,800). It even comes complete
with internal and external decorations and was built in only a few days.
3D printers can also print food. Food printers could be used on several occasions.
They could for instance improve your kitchen, help astronauts to provide for better
meals, and they might as well be useful for soldiers.
There are many materials that you can buy to start printing. There are nylons,
plastic powder, and even food materials. Printing with epoxy resins gives you more
variety of color and materials. Many printers offer a variety of flexibility, color and
transparency, simply by changing out the materials.
These 3D printers typically run $1k - $2k, but smaller ones can be had for as little
as $200. The MakerBot Replicator 2 is the most popular printer of this kind, but there 7are
dozens of others to choose from as well.
There are a couple problems, though. First
of all, the resolution of these printers isn't so great for printing it small. There will be little
ridges that could be distracting. A small prototype looks like toys. It helps to make them
