AMS Honor Roll and Honor Society Movie Night.
Over 200 students kept our volunteers busy popping
corn and supplying drinks all night long! We really appreciate your

energy and passion of Latin dance to AMS. As long as
you have music in your heart, anyone can learn and
enjoy the magic of dancing! (Yes, really!) Students will
have opportunities to participate in discussion, explore
the relationship between dance, movement and music,
develop awareness of rhythmic skills, execute different
rhythmic movements,
and build community.

6th graders are you interested in being in Leadership?
How about running for student body? If so, this
ENRICHMENT class is for you! ANY 6TH GRADE
STUDENT INTERESTED SHOULD ATTEND THIS
AFTER SCHOOL CLASS. The purpose of this
Enrichment class is to: Introduce any interested
students to ASB; Involve 6th graders in ASB; Allow 6th
graders to be a part of student government meetings; To
provide 6th grade teachers with representatives for ASB
activities (to do spirit count, make announcements, etc).
Those 6th graders who were elected at the end of
Quarter 1 as 6th grade representatives will be required
to attend as well.

Junior Achievement-It's My Business


In JA it's My Business! You will explore higher
education and career choices. We have fun, challenging
activities including an entrepreneurial quiz game,
completing a blueprint for club, participation in an
auction of businesses, and creating entrepreneur profile
cards. Friday after school from 2:45-3:45 pm in Room

Safety First
Please help make student drop-off and pick-up safe! We realize
traffic is a concern, please help us by not leaving your car
unattended, parking in a red zone, encouraging your student to
walk thru moving traffic, and please be courteous. We understand
traffic jams occur, patience is very much appreciated.
Please remember all middle students riding skateboards,
scooters, and bikes to and from school must wear a safety helmet,
it's the law. Also, Students are not allowed to ride
skateboards/scooters/bikes on campus. Any student caught
riding on campus may have their equipment taken away and release
to parents. Students may store their skateboard/scooter in their
1st period class. Bikes should be locked in the bike racks.

Friday School Detention


At AMS, student are required to move from class to class
daily. It is expected that all students arrive to every class
on time. Tardies create a disruption to the classroom and to
our focus on academic success. Students who earn 3 or
more tardies per week will receive Friday School Detention.

Friday School Detention is every Friday From 2.:453:45. Students and their parents are responsible for their
own transportation home. Students will receive notification
of their detention in their advisory class 48 hours in
advance. Students should bring something to work on
during detention, this may include homework or a book to
read but electronics and food are strictly prohibited.
Failure to attend detention may lead to further
consequences from site administration.
