The purpose of Zion’s prayer chain is to offer and receive prayer support during times of need. To

UMW Bake Sale and Salad Luncheon


Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Zion UMC. Bake sale at 11:00 a.m. and sit down salad luncheon with
desserts at 11:30 a.m. Door prizes and entertainment. Cost is $8.00.

Library Open House


Visit the Zion Library on Sunday morning, April 11th and April 18th, for an Open House from 9:30
a.m. – 12:15 p.m. The library is located in the west wing just across from the Sisters In Spirit
room.

Souper Sunday
Following the 11 am service on April 18 there will be a feast of homemade soups and bread for all
to enjoy. The UMM are sponsoring this Souper Sunday event to celebrate the arrival of spring and
our many blessing at Zion. A free-will offering will be taken to support a replacement computer for
Buffie in the church's main office. Don't miss the many wonderful selections of soups and breads
on April 18. Bring a friend to church and stay for our feast! If you would like to contribute some
soup (e.g., a gallon or a big pot) or bread/rolls for the Souper Sunday meal please contact Doug
Peters (douglasnd@gmail.com or 746-9577).

Sermon Focus: Many “fans” of Jesus “welcomed” Him to Jerusalem on what we now call Palm
Sunday – and within days, made it quite clear that He was no longer welcome! Can we faithfully
follow Christ if we only welcome what we want or are most comfortable with?
