Matthew 24:13 ~but he that shall endure unto the end, the same
shall be saved.
James 5:20 ~let him know, that he which
converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall
hide a multitude of sins.
John 14:6~Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and
the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Proverbs 23:7~
for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is
not with thee.
John 12:46 ~i am
come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in
darkness.
in the
bible, the fig tree is very prominent in teaching regarding (knowledge of) good and evil.
Jer 24:3 ~Then said the Lord unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the
good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil. Adam
and Eve, when after eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, saw that
they were naked, and joined fig leaves to make aprons (Gen 3:7). later, God made for
them clothes of animal skin (Gen 3:21), but it can be said that mans first attempt to cloth
himself was inadequate, until God provided real clothes for them. it can also be
perceived, that when Christ cursed the fig tree (Mat 21:19), that Pharisaic Judaism had
been proven inadequate to cover the sins of the people, and the nation was scattered;
although the Lord promises to gather them again (Eze 28:25). so religion and philosophy
is mans attempt at covering himself, but just as in example after example, like when God
provided himself a lamb for Abrahams sacrifice (Gen 22:8), or when Abel sacrificed the
lamb (Gen 4:4); it all points to the final sacrifice, when John the baptist proclaimed
Behold, the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (Jn 1:29). in Gods law,
shedding of blood is necessary to forgive sin (Ex 30:10, Mat 26:28, Heb 9:22).
in Buddhism, the Bodhi tree is also a fig tree, which Buddha sat under for six years until
he contacted Brahma, king of the gods, telling how people may find liberation from
suffering, through meditation and the study of wisdom. again, in Gen 3:6 ~ And when the
woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a
tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave
also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
because of Eve and Adams disobedience to God, suffering (through sin) came into the
world. Christ suffered on the cross, and resurrected to show Gods power over death, and
to give light to those who also suffer (Acts 26:23). 1 Peter 3:18 ~ For Christ also hath
once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to
death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

to attain heaven, or will you look to Jesus suffering for you on the cross?

friends were pulling your leg when they
told you figs were full of dead insects,
it turns outthey were right and you were
wrong. Indeed, figs do contain digested
wasps, which become trapped inside the
fruit during pollination. Without this gross
and deadly cycle, neither the fig tree
