comply also with NESC (NATIONAL ELECTRIC SAFETY CODE). Approximately 0.5m shall
be added to the clearance values above to allow for survey and drawings errors and longterm creep. Crossing of houses, huts and other objects with soft roofing is not allowed.
(1) Minimum clearance from live conductor to the nearest part of tower body for suspension
tower;
(a) for still air condition and upto 20 degrees swing of insulator strings 1500 mm
(b) for 20 to 55 degree swing condition of insulator strings 1000 mm
(2) Minimum clearance from live conductor to the nearest part of tower body for tension
tower;
(a) jumper loop, from still air to 15 degree swing 1500 mm
(b) jumper loop, from 15 to 40 degree swing 1000 mm
(c) jumper suspension insulator-set, from still
air to 15 degree swing 1500 mm
