Be Someone’s Friend!
Come join a group of volunteers who make people happy! On
Sunday mornings we carpool to our sister community at the
Austin State Supported Living Center (formerly the Austin State
School for the Mentally Retarded). We accompany residents to a
Catholic prayer service we hold in the Chapel. Many of these
folks are in wheelchairs and could not come to church without

Liturgical Minister Training
Trainings to be a Eucharistic Minister here at the UCC will be
held on Monday, February 1 at 8pm and Tuesday, February 2 at
7pm in the Holy Spirit Chapel. Trainings for Lectors and Mass
Coordinators will be done by appointment. For more

Join the Choir!
The music ministries in Mass are looking for more musicians and
singers to join them! If you are interested, please show up 45
minutes to an hour before the Mass you will be attending to
practice.
MeatFest 2010
Come celebrate Mardi Gras with the brothers of Lambda Omega
Alpha with some delicious barbeque at the UCC on Tuesday,
February 16. Presale tickets are $5, and will be $7 at the door.

Texas Chamber Singers at St. Austin’s
On Monday, Feb. 1 at St. Austin Catholic Church, the University
of Texas Chamber Singers will sing a Mass at 7 p.m. Much of
the music will be from the well-known early Catholic English
William Byrd. The mass should be a wonderful occasion as we
celebrate Candlemass Eve. All are invited.

are two maps and some colored pins to mark your hometowns.
