RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE SECTION 603 OF THE IUSA ELECTION

CODES

1 WHEREAS, Section 603 of the Indiana University Student Association Election Codes
2 addresses campaign expenditures; and,

4 WHEREAS, This section was altered to include the following statement:

6 Section 603: Excessive Campaign Expenditures
7
8 Any candidate or ticket that spends more than the total funds that they have received in
9 contributions at any given time during the election, or any candidate or ticket that spends
10 more than five thousand dollars ($5,000), regardless of the amount of campaign
11 contributions received, shall be in violation of this Code and eligible for disqualification.

13 THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, That the Student Congress here assembled
14 make the preceding changes to the IUSA Elections Codes.
