Violi Meccanica Industriale Treatment and Recovery of Noble Metals

Recovery of precious metals from industrial waste or recycling of used

and obsolete materials is a key issue in the production cycle of companies
operating in different sectors; the goldsmith industry and the semicon-
ductor and pharmaceutical fields are just some of the macro sectors in
which the regulated disposal of waste is necessary. In fact, the intrinsic

containing precious metals Violi srl, thanks to almost twenty years of experience in the national
and international jewelry industry, has developed a line of “environmen-
tally friendly” equipment, which, step by step, renders the entire process
simple and effective, while respecting current environmental norms and
policies.

approximately 6,5 kW/h and a nitrogen consumption of 8-10 l/h.
The process takes place in a controlled atmosphere and releases smoke
at temperatures of 150-180° C, so as not to cause toxic reactions such as
the formation of dioxin. before after
Due to minimal power consumption, operating costs are decidedly low
and the process is highly advantageous compared to traditional combus-
tion systems. In addition, the bureaucratic process necessary to obtain
authorization to use the oven is streamlined and quick.

Features
• Solid, robust structure
• High capacity
• Easy to use
• Totally automated
• Compliance with required standards before after

Violi srl produces a series of manual and automatic crushing mills for
crushing various types of materials for the recovery of precious metal
residues. These are typically used for pulverizing slag and ashes resulting
from carbonization of worked gold residues, of crucibles and refractory
materials, and for the trituration of electronic components and printed
circuit boards; they are available in the version with manual or automatic
unloading of scrap. before after
The process is automatic and continuous: the movement of cast iron balls
inside the rotor crushes the materials. The crushing mills separate and fil-
ter the dust resulting from the process through a stainless steel net, while
metal residues are unloaded manually; for the automatic models this oc-
curs through a nozzle located on the right side of each device by inverting
the direction of rotation of the motor.
The material to be treated is loaded manually, but the cycle can be totally
automatic on request. Also, upon request, soundproof cabins are avail-
able to accommodate the crushing mills noiselessly. Violi’s crushing mills
series complies with the required international standards. Manual crushing mill VM/80P

The VM/MX series of mixers is the ideal solution for mixing powders of
dry materials processed with the Violi crushing mills. Furnace slag, ashes
resulting from carbonization of worked gold residues, powder from cru-
cibles and refractory materials, or from the trituration of electronic com-
ponents and printed circuit boards, once pulverized, are mixed to obtain
homogeneous products ready to be tested or amalgamated with other
components to obtain new compounds.
MX mixer
Inside an AISI 304 stainless steel chamber (316 on request), a system of
discontinuous blades having a double concentric coil mounted on a shaft
with cast iron supports creates a counter-convergent motion of mass ca-
pable of mixing materials of different specific weight and carrying the
product to the discharge nozzle. The process is fast and efficient, and can
also be applied to granular products.
