-2EMBASSY OF MEXICO
CANBERRA ACT AUSTRALIA
I declare that all information herein is true. I authorise the Mexican Government to conduct its verification.
I am aware that the final admission into Mexico must be approved by sanitary and immigration authorities at the port of
entry, and that the issuance of a visa by a Mexican Consulate does not guarantee the admission.
I understand that sanitary and immigration authorities have the right to verify my compliance with all legal requirements.

NOTE: To avoid any complications please be advised that you should not purchase your air tickets prior to being
granted a visa. Please be aware that the visa issued by this Embassy does not automatically grant you access to Mexico.
This is dependent upon final approval from Customs in Mexico.
The National Institute of Immigration in Mexico City has requested that the following information is diffused to all persons
travelling to Mexico:
Persons seeking entry into Mexico may be requested to show, at the port of entry, evidence that they have sufficient funds to
stay for the length they applied for. The minimum amount established is US$50.00 per day or US$25.00 when
accommodation has already been paid. This may be through cash, credit cards or travellers cheques.
The above statement does not mean that they necessarily have to spend those amounts in Mexico, the immigration authorities
merely wish to be reassured that tourists will not have financial difficulties while visiting our country.
The applicant must enter Mexico within 90 days from the date of issue, otherwise, visas and /or immigration documents
will expire automatically.
