I.

Objectives:
To select Area Ones potential representatives for the upcoming Division Level
Population Quiz and On-the-Spot Skills Exhibition 2015
To develop camaraderie among representatives of different schools of Area 1 of the
Division of Batangas
To inculcate substantial knowledge and learnings to the students that they are able
to apply in times of emergencies.
To update the students on the current programs and activities of the Commission on
Population in securing the quality of living of all Filipinos

II.

Focus of the Activity:


After having the school-based elimination of Tuy National High School (TNHS)
conducted last November 5, 2015 in support of Memorandum No. 35415 with its subject
Addendum and Corrigendum to Division Memorandum No. 34015 RE: Population Quiz and
On-the-Spot Skills Exhibition with its theme Dignity and Protection of Vulnerable Population
in Emergencies is the conducted Area Level competition on November 16, 2015 at Banilad
National High School (BNHS).
TNHS representatives who competed at BNHS were Mark Anthony Tumbaga for the
Population Quiz and Friedrick Tumbaga for Essay Making and Ervin for Poster Making for
the On-the-Spot Skills Exhibition. The contests started at around 9:00 AM and were
conducted simultaneously and ended at about 1:30 PM. TNHS representative, Ervin of
Poster Making got the first place. Mr. Benito Hernandez, Principal IV and Araling Panlipunan
District Supervisor, announced that the participants for the forthcoming Division Level of
these contests are the first and second placers.

III.

Reflection:
Engaging our students in this kind of activity will help them be equipped with the
necessary or substantial knowledge that they can use in emergencies and be updated with
the programs and activities of government agencies to improve the quality of living of the
Filipinos. Moreover, the knowledge of our students on the governments action in addressing
different conflicts related to the growing number of population will help our students realize
that they need the sense of oneness and as a result, their willingness to uplift the condition
of their society.
IV.
Recommendation:
I recommend that all the information and learning experiences acquired and shared
through this activity concerning students social awareness be permeated on the subjects
pertaining to the discussion of current social issues and be promoted and supported by the
private and public institutions.
