Advent 2015 Preaching Series: Far As The Curse Is Found: Human
Suffering & The Hope of Christmas
Advent is a special season in our church in which we anticipate and prepare for the
celebration of Christmas - that day on which we celebrate the truth that "The Word
became flesh and made His dwelling among us" (John 1:14). God has entered
human history through the incarnation of His Son, Jesus Christ.
On the first Sunday of every month, we celebrate a meal together after the service.
These are intentional times of meeting new friends and catching up with old friends.
We want to be intentional in seeking to build relationships and our monthly potluck
luncheons are a perfect opportunity to do so. Please bring food for yourself / your
family plus extra to share with our guests.
New City Church will be having its 4th Annual Ladies Christmas Tea on Saturday,
December 5th, from 2-4pm at the Confederation Park Centre. There will be a
presentation about the work of the SA Foundation (www.safoundation.com), and a
display to further support SAF through donations and/or jewellery purchases. Please
contact Annette Torhjelm (annettelori@gmail.com) if you are able to help organize
this event and to RSVP.
Save the Date: Ladies of All Ages - Shower for May-Lynn Van Hill

of January 9th, 2016 at the home of Heather Ferguson - 331 Citadel Drive NW.
