Lottie Moon Foreign Missions Offering

For the first time in decades, we as Southern Baptists are about to be
forced to bring missionaries home from their fields of ministry.
Gifts to support the work of these called servants have decreased.
The fields are white unto harvest. Will you sacrifice this year to
see that your missionaries can stay and serve? Our 2015 goal for
the Lottie Moon Offering to support the work of our missionaries in
foreign countries is $12,000. Begin praying now how you and your
family can be a part of this worthy cause. Ingathering for the Lottie
Moon Christmas Offering will be on the morning of Sunday,
December 6. Be prepared to bring your gift in the morning service
that day.

PASTOR SEARCH COMMITTEE

Please lift your Pastor Search Committee in prayer daily. They
are: Jerry Pollock, Ron Gilliard, Richard Dykes, Tanya Crum,
Frances Edmunds, Susan Lanier, Brant Harrell, Karon Elwell.

Wedding Facilitator
We have a need for persons to serve as facilitator for couples who
wish to be married at First Baptist Church. If you have an interest
in discovering the benefits and requirements of this person, please
go to the bulletin board outside of the Church Office for more
information. A training session will be scheduled within the next
month.

Gifts To Bus Repair Account

The bus is back and the cost to repair was less than expected.
Please consider a generous offering (above the tithe) to help with
the unforeseen expenses we had in making necessary repairs to our
large bus.

CHRISTMAS MUSICAL
Reserve the date of Sunday night, December 6th for the
Chancel Choir & Saints Alive Choirs presentation of I HEAR
THE PROPHET CALLIN. This musical is the story of the
birth of Christ using scripture and Appalachian style music. A
live orchestra will accompany the choirs. Invite friends,
neighbors and seekers who may be blessed with this unique
presentation of the Christmas story.
Dress rehearsal for the musical will be held in the Sanctuary at
7-8:00 PM, Saturday, December 5. This might be a great time
to hear the musical, if you are unable to attend the following
night!
Post concert fellowship for the singers and their significant
others will be at the home of Basil and Phyllis Lucas. Make
plans to attend.

TOM & MIRIAM HAYES

Our friends, Tom & Miriam Hayes who have ministered
alongside us in recent years, will be moving out of the area in
the next week. Tom has blessed us with his voice and through
piano in worship services, Wednesday night suppers and
Fellowship Club meetings. Be sure to hear Tom share one last
time, as he sings and plays in the 11:00 AM worship time this
Sunday, November 29.

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE

Again this year, the Christian community of Bainbridge
attended a wonderful service of thanksgiving, where we
praised God for His goodness and mercy. We were pleased to
have over 50 in attendance from First Baptist. Thanks for your
faithfulness to gather and worship as the FBC family.

the Fellowship Hall. We will go over the basics and requirements of both
interviewing and tax preparation. Those interested will be serving in

AWANA Sundays @ 5:30 pm

We are collecting travel size items for the New Orleans Friendship House.
This ministry provides homeless women in the New Orleans area a free
shower in the hopes of introducing them to Jesus. During Marde Gras, they
will provide over 100 showers a day! If you have any travel size items you
are willing to donate, please bring them to the church office. We will be
collecting until mid January. Thank you!

What's Happening:
November 29 AWANA Store Night!
December 9 Last RAs, GAs and Mission Friends for 2015

I hope and pray everyone has a wonderful

Thanksgiving. A spirit of thankfulness is grounded in
remembering what we have experienced. So let us
always remember as James 1:17 says, Every good
gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming
down from the Father of lights. Every blessing that
we enjoy is a gift from our loving heavenly Father.
My family and I are so very thankful for our church
family and the way you have been such a blessing to
us. Thanks and glory be to God!!!
Sunday, December 6th our students will be providing
a spaghetti lunch for our church family for the
purpose of raising funds to provide Christmas for a
needy family this year. We will begin serving at
11:00 and are simply asking for a donation for the
meal.
The youth Christmas party will be Friday night
December 18. Be looking out for details and an
opportunity to sign up!!
Blessings,
Jeff
