Objective: Continuance of being a progressive health care leader and educator to provide continual quality
management improvements to the facility I work with. This includes providing my facility with the profitability and
superiority to make this facility the very best of the best in our area. I have years of financial expertise and experience as
well as hospital, nursing home and ALF experience and wish to work with an organization that needs and wishes these
objectives.

Experience:
5/1/2007 to 3/01/10 Harmony Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and Harmony Pavilion. Administrator of the
SNF and the ALF. 120 bed SNF with Ventilation Unit and a 20 bed ALF, Memory Support with a Limited Nursing
License. Increased census and placed operations and financials to a high level after a devastating start. Placed MDS--
RUG system in this facility along with other required operational programs and services that had fallen with the prior
administration. Increased financial stability by over 3000%.

7/2005 to 3/2007 Summit Care II--The Springs at Lake Pointe Woods, Sarasota, FL as Executive Director. Set up
systems, programs and staffing after a very poor prior administration.. Financials were increased from a negative $50K to
a positive $500K after one year. Moved to Harmony to work with the facility to do the same with a new, unique facility
and increased wages.

1/2000 to 7/2005 Tandem Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Brandon and Sarasota, Florida as Executive Director
for five years. Set up AHCA Compliance measures and systems, JCAHO organization systems and other
programs/systems to enhance resident and staff relations and systems implementation along with positive financial
enhancements. Won the Tandem financial award and census improvement awards.

1996 to 2000 Bon Secours Venice Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Administrator and VP of the Bon Secours Health
System, Venice, FL.

Chief Executive Officer with Memorial Hospital in NY for 10 years (combined Acute Care and Skilled Nursing)
Chief Financial Officer, with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) 9 years

Healthcare Accomplishments:
Memorial Hospital where I was employed was programmed for closure and during my CEO tenure, the following was
accomplished and it survived:
Building Program, additional SNF beds at the hospital
Applied for and received the Swing Bed program for parts of the Acute Care (second in the state of NY)
Designed, staffed and implemented per NYS standards, Urgent Care Centers throughout the area.
Superior NYS rated facilities and received accommodations by JCAHO and AHCA--NY
Designed an affiliation with the State University of New York (SUNY), School of Medicine to bring
their Family Practice Internship Program to our hospital and was very successful as a training center.
First Runner-up of the World Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC on Telecommunications in Rural America. Won
plaques, sent to Washington DC for presentation, etc.
Swing Bed program implemented and was NYS’s example center for all other facilities.
Status Change to Rural Primary Care Hospital as the second in the country, also used as an example hospital/health
center.
Recruitment of many physicians to this hospital to work in our urgent care centers and our emergency room setting
including physician assistants.
Grant writer and received over $13M to assist with developments of the internship program at the hospital with SUNY
and over $3.5M for the construction of Primary Care Centers.
Won the annual Chamber of Commerce, Citizen of the Year Award due to improvements of the hospital, work and
improvements with the community, etc.
