Etisalat - Nigeria (June 2008 till date)

Task includes the following activities;

Optimization of Ibadan and Ugheli region (GSM/GPRS).

o Check main KPIs on cell and area basis.
o Problematic cells investigation.
o Propose radio solutions for problematic area to enhance its
performance.
o Propose another appropriate team intervention for problematic nonaccess elements.
o KPIs follow up after any implementation to check results and KPIs
trend.
o Evaluation of current network design and performance.
o Develop an optimized design for coverage, capacity and performance
(QOS).
o Capacity assessment for congestion relief.

Radio Tuning:
o Identification of cells/areas whose performances are below standard
thresholds.
o Propose the most suitable solution for the detected problems,
(Antenna configuration and redesign, frequency modification, traffic
capacity upgrade etc...).
o Implementation the proposed solution on the network.
Dealing with subscribers complaints
o Drive test (TEMS/AGILENT) and KPI status check to confirm the
problem.
o Post-processing for the logs (TEMS/AGILENT) includes analysis to
check for quality or coverage problems and propose radio solutions.
o Check the end user perception after implementing the solution to
check the results and any additional modification needed

Manual Frequency Planning

o Assign the best frequencies for each TRX
o Report indicating the QoS indicators before and after FP.
Network Quality Assessment
o Identification of areas of weakness and recommendations for
improvement.
o Assessing the network design with respect to the quality of service
provided to end-users by analysis of drive tests measurements.
o Quality assessment for main axis and VIP routes using drive tests
measurements on weekly basis.

Network Performance Monitoring and Improvement:

Daily Monitoring of Cluster and RNC Level Network KPIs, and

giving recommendations for Hard Optimization and Parameter
Modification for improvement of degraded cells to reach the KPI
Targets using NPO WCDMA for Networks Statistics monitoring.
Load Balancing and Congestion:

Monitoring Cell level Code, Power and CE Congestion and providing

solutions to relieve congestion and adjusted LDR Parameters for
load reshuffling and balancing load.
RRC, RAB, SHO, Interfreq and I-RAT HO Success Rates:

Daily monitoring of these major KPIs and providing solution for

improvement.
AMR, VP, PS (R99), HSPA+ (HSDPA & HSUPA) Drop Ratio:

Monitoring the Drop Ratio, anaysing and providing solutions for the
