Dear Parents/Guardians
There are several important events coming up this
month. As usual the first Friday of the month is Hot Lunch, this
time it is from Garden Eats a local vegetarian restaurant. Our
School will be hosting a book fair on November 9th and 10th in
the library. During our 9:30 Tuesday morning library time
students will be given an opportunity to visit the book fair,
please send money with your child if they wish to purchase
anything. During November will we be studying the gold rush,
students will be working in pairs and presenting their learning.
Presentations will take place on the 24th from 1:30 until dismissal
at 2:45, I encourage you to join us and celebrate your childs
learning with us. The following day, the 25th our class will
traveling to the Royal BC museum to see their traveling gold
rush exhibit and watch a short documentary about it. We will
be there from 10 12 you are more than welcome to join us.
On Monday the 30th I will be handing out the December book
order it will be due back that Friday December 4th.

Important Announcement
If your child does not return their signed permission form before the 25th of
November they will not be allowed to attend the field trip.

Parent Tip:
In class we have been talking about ways we can be better readers.
Reading is just like playing a sport, the more we practice the better we
become. To help your child be a better reader please encourage them to
read more. Reading for even 10 minutes before bed can help children to
wind down from their day and boost their reading skills.

Permission Form
Dear Parent/Guardian:
A field trip to the Royal BC museum has been scheduled for Wednesday
November 25th from 10 am to 12 pm. The school bus will be departing from our school
at 9:45. As always you are welcome to join us, however you must arrange your own
transportation. We will return to the school by 12:15. Please pack your child a lunch as
usual.
Over the past few weeks we have been studying the gold rush as it relates to our
provinces history. While at the museum will we be visiting their traveling exhibit on the
BC gold rush and watching a short documentary.
Please sign and return the completed bottom section of this form. In order to
attend a signed and completed form is required. Parent/Guardian permission via
telephone will not be accepted.
