Title:

DISTORT

Positioning Statement: Distort the music

Frequency of Publication: Monthly
Price: 2.80
Distribution: supermarkets, newsagents, music shops, gigs, festivals.

Rationale: This magazine is about new, upcoming music as well as wellestablished artists. This magazine is written from an indie-rock fans
perspective of the indie rock genre ranging from bands of the past to new
and upcoming bands. DISTORT will include many interviews and
photoshoots with brand new artists and well-known artists. Also, there will
be news and live gig reviews.

Style: The style of the writing in my magazine will be informal, so this

goes along with my target audience, which is between the ages of 16-30
year old male and females. The main colour scheme of my magazine will
be black, blue with some pink as they were the most voted colours on my
questionnaire when I asked the audience's favourite colour. I will have a
lot of big, bold text that is visually attractive, as this suits my target
audience. I will also have quite a few images in my magazine.
