Axe

Axe helps guys to look, smell and feel more attractive. It


comprises a range of body sprays, deodorants, anti-perspirants,
shower gels and hair products. First launched in France in 1983,
Axe is now used by men in more than 90 countries, from the
Americas to Asia.

Comfort
Comfort is a fabric conditioner that is available globally, with
numerous variants such as Comfort Easy Iron and Comfort
Bright Whites. It is also sold under local names, such as Drive
and Yumo in some markets. Comfort was the first fabric
softener to be launched in the UK in 1969.

Dove
Dove grew from a moisturising Beauty Bar into a global brand
with a range of products: body washes, hand and body lotions,
facial cleansers, deodorants, shampoos, conditioners and hair
styling. In 2004, Dove began its Campaign for Real Beauty,
followed by the creation of the Dove Self-Esteem Fund in 2006.
It aims to be an agent of change to educate and inspire girls on
a wider definition of beauty and to make them feel mre
confident about themselves. Dove have created a number of online-only short films,
including Daughters (which was also broadcast during the Super Bowl XL), Evolution
(which won two awards at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival),
Onslaught and Amy.

Knorr

Knorr is a food brand with a wide range of soups, stock cubes,


bouillons, seasonings and sauces. The brand dates back to 1838
when Carl Heinrich Knorr opened a factory and began experimenting
with food drying techniques that could preserve quality, flavour and
freshness. It is one of the worlds largest food brands sold in more
than 87 countries around the world.

Lifebuoy
Lifebuoy is a brand of soap which began in England in 1895. It
was launched as part of William Hesketh Levers goal to
promote hygiene in the home and halt cholera in late Victorian
England. It has evolved to become the worlds best selling
germ-protection soap. Through the product itself and its
sustainability work with its partners, it is bringing better health
and hygiene to a wide and often disadvantaged market. Lifebuoy is produced in
Unilever in Cyprus for the UK, EU, US and Brazil markets, in Trinidad and Tobago for
the Caribbean market, and in India for the Asia market. Lifebuoy actively promotes
awareness of hygiene through social missions such as its support for the World
Handwashing Day and its campaign, Help a Child Reach 5.

Lipton
Lipton is the worlds leading tea brand and is sold in more than
150 countries, providing products ranging from tea bags to
bottled iced tea. In 1880, Glasgow-born entrepreneur and
innovator Sir Thomas Lipton saw the opportunity to make tea
universally accessible with guaranteed quality at affordable
prices. He began by purchasing tea estates in Ceylon (now Sri
Lanka) and arranged packaging and shipping at low costs. In
1893, he established Thomas J Lipton Co., a tea-packing company with its HQ and
factory in Hoboken, New Jersey, US.

Lux
Lux is a global brand, launched in 1925, whose range of
products includes beauty soaps, shower gels, bath additives,
shampoos and conditioners of the stars - from Elizabeth Taylor,
Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn monroe, Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif
and Shu Qi. The product is available in more than 100
countries.

Magnum
Launched in 1989, Magnum was the first hand-held ice cream
created as a premium ice cream for adults. Today, Magnum is a
leading global brand, selling 1 billion units annually worldwide,
and is the biggest of Unilevers ice cream brands. The ice cream
bars are made from quality ingredients to match their premium
market positioning.

Pepsodent
Pespodent is a leading oral care brand with a wide range of
products, benefitting from Unilevers long tradition of R&D in this
field. In 2008 Pepsodent collaborated with the Indian Dental
Association (IDA) and the World Dental Association (FDI) to help
educate school children on the importance of regular brushing.

Ponds
Ponds is a skincare brand sold in an affordable price bracket.
The brand has a long heritage, dating back to the 1840s when
the first product was sold in New York.

Sunsilk
Sunsilk is a hair-care brand for women. It is the worlds leading
brand in hair conditioning and the second largest in shampoo.
Its shampoos, conditioners and other hair-care products are sold
in 69 countries, often under local brand names such as Seda
and Sedal. The brand is strongest in Asia, latin America and the
Middle East and is the no. 1 hair-care brand in Pakistan, India,
Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and
Thailand.

TRESemm
TRESemm is a haircare brand offering salon-quality products
for men and women. It has its origins in hair salons, dating
back over 60 years, and now has a range of hair-styling
products for use at home.

Vaseline

In 1859, Robert Chesebrough, a chemist from New York,


visited the oil fields of Titusville, Pennsylvania in the US to
research to what new materials might be obtained from the
fuel. Over the next decade he perfected the formulation of
Vaseline petroleum jelly before opening for business in 1870.
Vaseline quickly became known for its ability to protect and
restore dry and damaged skin, and over the next century it
established itself as a skin product found in households around
the world.

Active Wheel
Wheel is the largest detergent brand in India and Bangladesh and
is used in millions of homes every day.

Bru
Launched in 1962 under the brand name of Deluxe Green Label,
Bru is a coffee brand available in India and Sri Lanka. It is the no. 1
coffee in India and Unilevers only coffee brand. The full product
range includes instant coffee and ice cappuccino.

Close Up
Launched in 1967, Close Up is a clear gel toothpaste containing a
mouthwash and micro whiteners to ensure long-lasting fresh breath
and white teeth. It is sold in Brazil, Asia and South Africa, where it
is among the mnost popular oral care brands and is positioned as a
youth product.

Fair & Lovely


Developed in 1975, Fair & Lovely is a best-selling fairness cream.
The product contains no bleach or harmful ingredients. It is the no.
1 fairness cream in India and is popular throughout Asia.

Lakm
Lakm was the first home-grown cosmetics brand in India to
achieve wide success, having launched in 1952. It takes pride in
its heritage and in having been the expert on Indian beauty for
over 60 years

Pureit
Pureit is an in-home water purifier and the first of its kind. It was
designed by Unilever in order to purify tap water and make it as
safe as boiled water without the hassles of boiling.

Surf Excel
Surf Excel (also known as Surf in many parts of the world) is a
brand of laundry detergent with an accompanying range of laundry
products. It launched in 1959 and is now available in Europe, Latin
America, Asia and Africa, with a comprehensive range of offerings
including bars, powders, liquids, tablets and capsules.

Brooke Bond Taj Mahal


In 1869 Arthur Brooke, the son of a tea merchant, opened a tea
shop in Manchester. That was the start of the Brooke Bond family
of teas which are sold in countries around the world, including
Russia, India and Pakistan. By 1957 it was probably the largest
tea company in the world, with one-third share of both the British and Indian tea
markets. There is now a wide range of products available from Brooke Bond including
tea bags and loose tea of different varieties.
