McKendree Church sends its prayers and sympathy to the
family and friends of Hewitt Rogers, who died March 14. He
was the step-father of Misty Sperry Chambers.
McKendree also sends its prayers and sympathy to the
family and friends of Ruth Willis, who died March 25. She was
the mother of Dot Sexton.

As we are fast approaching Resurrection
Sunday, Prayer & Care Partners may want
to either send your Partner a card in the
mail or bring them a chocolate Easter
bunny (or other super-small treat) to
church for them in celebration of our Risen
Lord! This is a great reason to call your
Partner and invite them to church on
Resurrection Sunday, remember, just one
service at 10a with fellowship breakfast
beforehand from 8:30 to 9:50a!  CHANGE DAY” - this will be our big work

It's easy to come to church on Sunday
mornings, but it can be difficult to take the
next step towards investing in a
community. That's what McKendree
Ministry Classes are all about. If you're new
to McKendree United Methodist Church,
or if you've been here many years - these
classes have been designed to inform
and inspire inquiry into the way the church
universal, the United Methodist Church,
and McKendree UMC work together
to bring God's Kingdom on Earth as it is in
Heaven.
Our next 4-week installment will begin on
Sunday, April 11 at 12:15p in the Archives
Room (main foyer). Sign ups are
encouraged but not necessary for

Our finance team is only able to set a
budget for each year based on your
commitments. At this point McKendree is
$80,000 short of supporting the 2010
budget. Please pray and consider

professional video camera
to the church. The repair bill
to fix the lens and a few areas on the
body of the camera totals $645 plus return
shipping. The camera, a Canon XL-1s, is
worth up to an average of $1,500 on the
used market and around $2,000 brand
new. If you would like to make a tax
deductible donation to help cover repair
costs, please contact the church office or
specify your donation as “New Camera
Fund.” Having this equipment working will
allow us the ability to project live video
feed on our worship center screens, the
ability to record video of services/events,
and for the first time the capability to
capture high-quality and clear audio in- DID
