20th Century Fox Film Co. Ltd It is an American film studio, which
was founded in May 1935 by Joseph Schenck and Darryl Zanuck. It is one
of the six major film studios. It is based in Fox Plaza, Century City based in
LA, California, U.S. It distributes films globally for a mass target audience.
Universal Pictures It is also an American film studio and is a part of
the six major film studios. It was founded in 1912 making it the worlds
fourth oldest film studio. This also has a mass target audience. Its
headquarters are in Hollywood, California.
Paramount Pictures it is a television production company, film studio
and motion picture distributor. This is another one of the Big Six film
studios therefore it has a mass target audience. It was founded in 1912
and it is based in Hollywood, California.
The Walt Disney Company aka Disney, is a mass media
entertainment company. Its main building is in Burbank, California and is
the worlds 2nd largest media company. Disney was founded in 1923 by
Walt Disney and Roy Disney. The company make mainly childrens films
but appeal to a large target audience.
Columbia Pictures It is an American film company of the Sony Pictures
Motion Picture Group. This is a part of the big six production companies. It
was founded in 1924 and is based in LA, California and distributes films
globally.
New Line Cinema It is also an American film studio founded in 1967,
which originated as a film distribution company, which later become an
independent studio.
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. Warner Bros. is an American
company that produces television, music and film entertainment and is
one of the main film studios. It has a wide target audience and was
founded in 1923 by 4 brothers.
The genre of each individual production company is based around what genre
the majority of their films produced conform to. The type of Production
Company however depends on whether they are subsidiary or independent. A
subsidiary film production company is one that is owned by another company.
