GPRS is a complex data network which upgrades

current second generation GSM networks, offering
true high-speed Internet (IP) and X.25 network
connectivity over existing GSM cellular networks.

RADCOM WAN/LAN and WAN/LAN/ATM analyzers

enable the testing of GPRS interworking with easy

connectivity and accurate monitoring of all GPRS

interfaces, SS7 networks and packet data networks.
Given the ability to view the activity on multiple
networks simultaneously, developers and operators
can perform unique testing scenarios for each GPRS
node and interface.

Applications
Testing GPRS Transmission and Signalling
Developers and network installers use the PrismLite to
monitor the Gb, Gn and Gr interfaces and display any two
of them simultaneously. Signalling and data traffic from
BSS to SGSN and from SGSN to HLR or GGSN is easily
monitored and recorded. All types of messages such as
attach request, identity request and their responses can be
displayed.

Jitter Analysis
applications are useful to
extract many important
parameters.
Testing at a Remote Site
Use the lightweight and portable
WAN/LAN analyzer to analyze GPRS
interfaces at remote locations. Trace files
may then be transferred off-site for later
analysis by GPRS experts.

Monitoring SGSN and GGSN Performance

Use the PrismLite to test SGSN or GGSN performance by
