article from June of 1987 was used to determine what the public knew at the time versus
what they know now in regards to the event. For example, originally Reagan denied these
accusations, but later went on to accept and apologize for them.

historical journal was used for context regarding foreign policy as well as how it affected
Reagans popularity with the nation.

at the Annual Dinner of the Conservative Political Action Conference in 1985 was used to
try and gain support for the Contras. I used this source to quote Reagans famous line
They are the moral equal of our Founding Fathers and the brave men and women of the
French Resistance. We cannot turn away from them, for the struggle here is not right
versus left; it is right versus wrong.

the 1985 Conservative Political Action Conference. This was used for the clip of Reagan
calling the Contras the moral equivalent of our founding fathers.
Walsh, Lawrence E. Final Report of the Independent Counsel for Iran/Contra Matters.
Washington, D.C.: United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit,
Division for the Purpose of Appointing Independent Counsel, Division No. 86-6, 1993.
Print. Lawrence Walsh was a lawyer and a former U.S. District Court judge that was
appointed as the independent counsel for the investigation of the Iran/Contra affair. This
source is his final report of his findings from said investigation. This source was used to
learn of the general information, provided some context, and gave detailed information
on what occurred in the scandal.

This source provided the picture of the front page of the New York Times from
November 26, 1986 that is used as the background for all the websites pages as well as
information on what the people knew from the start.

with communist nations other than Nicaragua, highlighting the takeover of Grenada from
the communist regime that was in place there.
Cover Up: Behind the Iran Contra Affair. Directed by Barbara Trent and David Kasper. USA:
The Empowerment Project, 1988. Film. This is a documentary giving overview for the

Iran/Contra Affair. It was used for context on the event as well as general information on
the event.

interview from which I was able to collect context on the Iran-Contra scandal.

anti-Communist groups and how he supported the Contras as well as how Congress
attempted to stop the support for the cause.

Reagan was used for background into Reagan and specifically how he felt about
Communism and other world matters. It was also used for the clip where Reagan is
speaking about how the contras are the moral equivalent of our founding fathers.
