Renew Charter School Turnaround AmeriCorps -
Literacy and Math Interventionist (July 2015present) The mission of the AmeriCorps Turnover program is to bring those students, who up are up
four years behind, up to grade level. This mission is accomplished by providing multiple small focus
groups throughout the day.
Providing small group learning support with most needy students.
Develop and execute task based learning lessons which highlight the direct needs of
students.
Design classroom culture units and create lesson plans to aide and assist students
educational and emotional needs.
Designed and created photography installation that showcased students ideas and
opinions about the meaning of art.
Serving as a mentor through various emotional challenges.
Summer Camp X
-Administrative Assistant to camp director, (June 2015- July 2015)
Implemented and created discipline and metric for students daily supervision.
Devised and administered morning academic enrichment with students.

City Year New Orleans

Working as a teachers assistant in an 11 month City Year assignment. City Years program focuses on
bridging the gap between local school capabilities and student needs. The goal is to help increase
graduation rates while bringing positive self-esteem change to students lives.
Supporting all teaching tasks with fifth grade underprivileged students, primarily in
math, to increase conceptual understanding and functional performance.
Performed interventions with most needy students.
Served as a mentor throughout severely emotional challenges.
Assistant coaching duties various for sports teams.
Selected to participate in, Crazy Idea Challenge. Created a pitch, proposing a school
program, for over 20 investors.
Selected to read an account of experiences for City Years biggest annual fundraiser.
