Dominic Torreto

One of my favorite film characters is Dominic Toretto. Im understand if

you have never heard his name, but at least you have ever heard of Vin Diesel as
his actor. Most people dont recognize this name as an film character because
people care more about fast cars or action scene on The Fast and The Furious.
Dominic Toretto is one of main character in The Fast and The Furious movie. The
Fast and The Furious is a series of action films, which center on illegal street
racing and heists.
Dominic Dom Toretto is a street racer and tough guy. He doesnt like his
life to be controlled by others, this includes rules. He likes to be free and rarely
hears other peoples opinion. Whenever he choose to act, he will act without
hesitation and doesnt care if people follow him or not. He races like a madman,
parties like a fiend, and fights like a wrestler. He is an incredibly good mechanic
because he can build his own cars. The truth is he is more than just a simple
mechanic, he is a thief by profession using his car skills and capability as a
mechanic. Among street racers, he is a prodigy and has a high reputation. For
them, he is the man to look up and the one-to-beat. The entire movie seems as if it
wants to make audience street racing is really cool and to make them think Toretto
is really cool. To accomplish this, you get a whole perfect character who separates
him from most men. Bald head, muscular physique, and deep voice are a property
that make people remember him.
I choose him as a villain because he is a bad example and villain to the
community, regardless of his role as an lead protagonist on The Fast and The
Furious. Burglary, street racing, vandalism, destruction of property, disturbing
polices work, is just a routinity for Dom. Dominics crew has perpetrated many
high-speed truck hijackings, stealing millions of dollars in proccess. He becomes
a criminal because what happened in his past life. Dom is a son of a minor stock
car racer from the 70s. His father was killed in a car accident that was cause by
another racer, Kenny Linder. Dom beat Linder nearly to death for doing so later
on and he went on to become a well-known street racer and high performance
mechanic.
Dominic Toretto is played, not only as a cool character, but also an
complicated one. Emotional instability and arrogance is one of his problem. That
is shown from his attitude in a racing situation, blind rage, taunting his
competitor, trauma and vulnerability. There is scene that show Dominics
vulnerability. He is asked if he has ever been to prison before. Toretto doesnt
respond immediately. He stares blankly ahead. A shudder of fear goes through his
voice as he quietly names the institution that he spent two years inside of. It
shows that whatever he experienced in prison is worse than death to him. Even

one of dangerous character in the movie forget how to speak make me realize that
he knows he is nothing more than a speck of the dust within the galaxy.
He is a strong character, but also a caretaker. He puts family as priority and
very protective of Mia, his sister. When Brian OConner, his partner begins dating
his sister, he said, You break her heart, Ill break your neck. His father has a big
influence on him. It is when he recalled his memory in the past, how his father
help Mia with her homework, read her book before sleep, bring the family to
attend church on Sunday, and host a barbeque for neighbors. He describe his
father, Thats my dad. He was coming up in the pro-stock circuit. Last race of the
season, he was coming into the final turn when a driver named Kenny Linder
tapped his bumper and put him into the wall at a hundred and twenty miles an
hour. I watched my father burn to death. I can still remember him screaming.
The people who were there said my father died long before the tanks blew. They
said it was me that was screaming. I see he has soft heart and justice in him
despite his profession.
