Malteser International is planning to launch its project namely Improving Food Security and
Strengthening of Community Based DRR in Chail Valley Swat jointly funded by Swiss
Agency for Development and Cooperation(SDC) and UN World Food Programme(WFP).

Based in Madyan, Swat
Open to internal and external candidates
Role and Responsibilities:

Conduct quick assessment in Chail valley.

Carry out a reconnaissance survey and identify potential gullies for check damming and
other structural mitigation work, Prepare gullies profiles
Design structures required for gullies plugging and slope stabilization etc
Prepare cost estimates and bill of quantities
Provide support in procurement of NFIs
Ensure the quality of construction material and other NFIs
Supervise construction work in the field
Ensure timely completion of the project activities.
Establish O&M committees/mechanism in each village.
Monitor and timely report the progress against the work plan at regular intervals.
Collect data for monitoring, evaluation and reporting purpose.
Properly maintain all relevant Record of technical documents
Coordinate with team members and technical government stakeholders.
Resolve conflict on spot and report unresolved problem and get advice of Project Manager.
Keep close contact with village committee, up- date their record, and provide support
and technical guidance regarding O& M and post construction maintenance.
Any other duties as and when assigned by PM.

Job Requirement:

BSc Civil Engineering or DAE Civil Technology

Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
Good command over computer programmes especially AutoCAD
Team player
Experienced in Designing of community infrastructure scheme
Local candidate with local language will be preferred.
