2.4.1.
The scope of works and design requirements for the M&E Building
Services are stated in the Design Criteria Performance Specifications
(DCPS).

The Contractor shall not deviate from the submitted and accepted
designs without the prior acceptance of his QP(D) and acceptance of
the Engineer.
2.5.3.
2.5.4.
The QP(D) shall represent the Contractor in all technical matters and
shall attend the site design meetings and carry out regular and random
site inspections to verify that the works have been carried out in
accordance to his design. The QP(D) shall make himself available on
site as and when required by the Engineer. Site inspections and
attendance by the Contractors PE shall be logged into the site registry
book kept at the site office.

2.6.2.
The Contractor and his QP(D) shall attend meetings called by BCA on
matters relating to temporary works design including submitting reports
to BCA through the QP(S) on instrumentation.

The Contractors Qualified Person (Design) [QP(D)] shall liaise with the
QP(S) to resolve all technical issues to the satisfaction of the QP(S)
and to the acceptance of the Engineer. The Contractor is not entitled to
any time extension and cost for complying to the QP(S)s requirements
and any delay in the resolution of the technical issues.
2.8.
Accredited Checker
2.8.1.

The Contractor shall prepare plans, drawings and all necessary design
calculations and submit them to the AC for checking at each stage of

the design. The Contractor and his QP(D) shall liaise with the AC to
resolve all technical issues to the satisfaction of the AC. The
Contractor is not entitled to any time extension and cost for complying
with the ACs requirements and any delay in the resolution of the
technical issues.

Registered Inspectors
2.9.1.
The Contractor shall be responsible for the obtaining all the necessary
permits and certificate for occupancy. The Contractor shall also
ensure that all necessary reports are submitted to SCDF and secure
the Fire Safety Certificate for the Authority.
