My grandma out of the blue decided to endorse gay marriage while we were having a meal out a
few months ago. It was all rather sweet. To bring balance back to a temporarily happy universe,
she then went to tell us how Pakistanis are inherently corrupt.

My grandma loves my boyfriend. But she just thinks he's my friend. My mom thinks I should come
out to her, but she's 80. I don't want to upset her.

Yeah that's like my boyfriends grandma. She loves me, hell I go over there on my own sometimes
to check up on them because his grandpa is slowly loosing it. We cook together, we sit and talk
together, we sneak off and drink wine during family events, it's great having a surrogate family
since I am so far from my own, but it's tough trying to watch what I say around her. I think she
knows what's up, but his grandpa has made his opinions clear in the past and with his mental
faculties that of a child it's better to not upset him if possible.
Her sister came up once to visit and pegged my boyfriend and my relationship in five minutes lol,
but her son is gay.

This may not be in your case. I don't get how families can disown their own children. Especially
when they're gay. Love doesn't work that way.
