EXT. GRAVEYARD- MORNING

JUAN PABLO MISTI stands in a corner leaning by the side of

his car as his brother’s funeral takes place. His brother
MARIO MISTI has recently been killed in an accident. The
priest is reading out some lines as his coffin is lowered
into his grave. We go into flashback and show Mario and Juan
in their happier times. We come out again as the people in
the gathering begin to disperse and some come up to Juan to
console him.
MAN
He was a really good lad...pity he
had to die at this age..
Juan nods as the scene changes.

INT. JUAN’S BEDROOM- NIGHT

APRIL, Juan’s girlfriend is sitting beside him on the bed as

he sobs over and over again.
APRIL

It’s alright. You had to do it.

It’s not your fault.
Juan wipes the tears off his face and stands up.
APRIL (CONT’D)

Where are you going?

JUAN

I will be back in a couple of

hours. Don’t wait for me.

INT. JUAN’S CAR- NIGHT

Juan is driving with his left hand, his other hand holding a
small passport size photograph of his brother. He keeps the
photograph on the deck of the car and pulls into a parking
lot.
EXT. BEACHSIDE VILLA- NIGHT

Juan walks slowly towards the gate of the mansion, his face
full of remorse and his thoughts elsewhere. He pushes open
the wrought iron gate of the mansion. Suddenly we see another
Juan running past, clad in a suit and adjusting his tie.
There is something peculiar about his appearance. It is
suddenly clear that Juan is reminiscing.

INT. BEACHSIDE VILLA- DRAWING ROOM- NIGHT.

Sitting on the Sofas are OMAR SHEIKH, a wealthy Arab

businessmen and RICARDO PIERRA, a Mexican mafia who supplies
stacks of cocaine and heroin and other ‘drugly’ stuff to
potential buyers. Right now the Arab is a potential buyer.
Standing behind them are their respective bodyguards. Juan
arrives and stands behind Ricardo who throws him a dirty
look.
Both the businessmen exchange briefcases; one full of drugs
while the other full of cash. Suddenly a shard of glass falls
down b/w where they both are sitting shattering and spilling
the glass all over the room. Everyone looks up. It’s MARIO,
Juan’s brother who is holding a camera and who mouths ‘oh
shit!’ and disappears from view.
RICARDO

Catch him dead or alive. I don’t

want any evidence.

EXT. ON CURVY UNPAVED ROAD-NIGHT

We are riding with Mario in his car with him looking back
again and again frantically. He is being chased by Ricardo’s
bodyguards which include Juan too. Suddenly there is a stream
of bullets from behind which damage the rear of Mario’s car
badly. His balance falters for a moment but he readjusts and
keeps driving. The road is long and circular and unpaved
making it dangerous to drive at high speed. If there is an
accident, Mario will fall directly into the sea which
stretches below.
Suddenly there is another stream of bullets and this time
they take out the rear tyre of Mario’s car. Mario looks back
again and sees a black van with tinted glasses.
He tries to readjust and bring the car in control but
suddenly there is another turn and he loses balance and his
car topples over.
The black van stops and four men get out of the van including
Juan whose face clearly shows signs of Panic. They look down
from the edge of the road. The car is in the sea, but somehow
Mario has managed to grab the end of a branch sticking out
from somewhere and is trying hard to hold on.
We change to Mario’s Point of View as Juan coves up and looks
down below.
We now change to Juan’s POV, with Mario’s face showing signs
of helplessness.
MARIO

Brother.......

The look on Juan’s face now changes. Now it is a look of

determination and what else...probably remorse?
All the other men disappear into air as the original Juan
comes up. Now we have two Juan’s on screen; one holding a gun
and the other watching helplessly.
The other Juan lifts his gun.

JUAN
Believe me...I am doing the best thing for you.

We enter in slow motion as he fires a bullet. The bullet

strikes Mario’s temple pin point in between and leaves him
dead. He immediately leaves the branch he is holding and his
hands sprawl out. The original Juan cries

JUAN
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

The dead body of Mario falls down spread-eagled into the

abyss below. We switch to Mario’s POV as the camera moves
away from Juan and we show the other Juan disappear in air,
leaving the original Juan holding out his hand and crying.

He sits on the road and begins to sob again uncontrollably.

The Screen goes black and up comes these words:

ONE YEAR LATER

EXT. THE SAME CURVY ROAD-DAY

A black sports jeep with an open roof stops by the edge of

the road. JUAN PABLO MISTI, dressed in a black leather
jacket and sporting Ray-Ban sunglasses Gets down. He moves
towards the very edge of the road. He pulls out a gun from
his Pants and reloads it. He looks down below.

Hanging by the branch is RICARDO PIERRA, looking desperate

and clearly afraid. His balance is faltering and he is
trying hard to hold on. Juan points his gun towards Ricardo
and

JUAN
Tell my brother that I wished him Happy Birthday.

We switch to Ricardo’s POV as we enter in slow motion as a

bullet leaves Juan’s gun. We now switch to a third person’s
POV who is standing far away.

The Sun is setting as the bullet hits Ricardo’s temple

pinpoint in between and he falls down, with his arms
spread, spread eagled into the far stretching sea below.

JUAN
Son of a bitch.

FADE OUT.
