PROJECTION OF PLANES

NOTE: Except the projectors and the box all the lines should be thick

When the plane is resting on HP

STEP 1:
Draw the true shape (Top View) below X-Y line
Draw the line (Front view) in the X-Y line
Immediately mark the corners with a,b,c,... in Top View and
a,b,c,.... in the Front View
STEP 2:
Tilt the line in the X-Y line to show the inclination with HP
Mark the points a,b,c,... with the same distances of a,b,c,.... in
the Front View by using the compass
STEP 3:
Draw projectors from a,b,c,... vertically downwards
Draw projectors from the a,b,c,... of STEP1-Top View horizontally
rightward
Mark the intersection points of horizontal and vertical projectors
a,b,c,...
Complete the tilted true shape
STEP 3:
Draw a thin box around the tilted true shape and bound it
STEP 4:
Draw a line inclined to X-Y to show the inclination with HP
Draw the box of tilted true shape in the inclined line such that the
side of box is on this line
By using the compass mark the the inclined true shape points in the
box
The points are a,b,c,... This is the Final Top View
STEP 5:
Draw projectors from a,b,c,...vertically upwards
Draw the projectors from the a,b,c,... of STEP 2-Front view
horizontally rightwards
Mark the intersection points a,b,c,... This is the Final Front View

NOTE: Except the projectors and the box all the lines should be thick

When the plane is resting on VP

STEP 1:
Draw the true shape (Front View) above X-Y line
Draw the line (Top View) in the X-Y line
Immediately mark the corners with a,b,c,... in Top View and
a,b,c,.... in the Front View
STEP 2:
Tilt the line in the X-Y line to show the inclination with VP
Mark the points a,b,c,... with the same distances of a,b,c,.... in
the Top View by using the compass
STEP 3:
Draw the projectors from a,b,c,... vertically upwards
Draw the projectors from the a,b,c,... of STEP1-Front View
horizontally rightward
Mark the intersection points of horizontal and vertical projectors
a,b,c,...
Complete the tilted true shape
STEP 3:
Draw a thin box around the tilted true shape and bound it
STEP 4:
Draw a line inclined to X-Y to show the inclination with HP
Draw the box of tilted true shape in the inclined line such that the
side of box is on this line
By using the compass mark the the inclined true shape points in the
box
The points are a,b,c,... This is the Final Front View
STEP 5:
Draw projectors from a,b,c,...vertically downwards
Draw the projectors from the a,b,c,... of STEP 2-TopView
horizontally rightwards
Mark the intersection points a,b,c,...This is the Final Top View

PROJECTION OF SOLIDS
Except the projectors all the lines should be thick

STEP 1:
AXIS PERPENDICULAR TO HP AND PARALLEL TO VP

Draw the true shape (TOP VIEW) Below X-Y line

Draw the line (may be front view or top view) in the x-y line
If it is resting on VP draw the true shape above x-y line) and draw
the line in the X-Y line
If it is resting on HP draw the true shape below x-y line and draw
the line in the X-Y line
Immediately mark the corners with a,b,c,... and a,b,c,....
STEP 2:
Show the inclination to VP or HP
To show this position , tilt the line which is in X-Y line and mark the
points a,b,c,... (OR) a,b,c with the same distances
Draw projectors from this tilted line vertically
From the step 1 draw projectors horizontally and marks the
intersection points
Complete the tilted true shape
STEP

3:
Draw a box in the tilted true shape
Draw a line inclined to X-Y
Draw the box in the inclined line such that the side in the box is
inclined to X-Y
In the box draw the true shape and mark the points a,b,c,...
(OR) a,b,c,...
STEP 4:
Draw projectors from the tilted box vertically

Draw the projectors from the inclined line of STEP 2 horizontally

Mark the intersection points a,b,c,... (OR) a,b,c,...
