Bahrain says 29 people
have
been
sentenced
to prison over a 2014
bombing that targeted
police officers in the tiny
island kingdom.
The state-run Bahrain

handed down sentences
ranging from five years to
life in prison to 29 people
found guilty of attempting
to murder policemen in a
bomb attack last year.

Court

revoked the citizenship
of two of those convicted,

from the Shiite Houthi
rebels after his two-year
term expired in January.

predecessor,
Ali
Abdullah Saleh, formerly
an opponent of the rebels,
is now their ally, assisting
them with his loyal tribal
