Receptionist/Secretary, Senior School
Provision of high quality secretarial support to the Head and Assistant of the Senior School.
First point of contact for many parents and visitors to the school providing a welcoming presence
with a smile.
Respond to all enquiries either telephone or visitors or staff attending the office.
Answer all phone calls and take messages for staff, which are emailed, to them immediately.
Responsible for secretarial requirements for teaching staff (including composition of
correspondence).
Assist with absentees as required, using ‘Edumate’ to track down and enter data.
Maintain and organise interview room bookings.
Distribute roll lists and information to staff through pigeonholes and organise labels for new staff.
Oversee lost property in the Senior School.
Organise “rubbish duty” for students.
Work with the assistant to Head of Senior School on mail outs/large scale distributions.
Organise distribution of notices to students through lessons 1/6 when necessary.
Typing of Minutes of Staff meetings and uploaded to “Moodle” on the School website.
Supervising of girls using microwave ovens at lunchtime.
Ensure there are plenty of stationery supplies for the reception area.
Take charge of setting up of morning teas/lunches held in the Senior Staffroom.
