Description: Manage, organize and control the physical and human resources for maintenance and new construction of bridges,
culverts, buildings and other structures and facilities.
Lead a safe, efficient, cost effective, customer responsive structures maintenance and renewal program in the territory.
Ensure that Regulatory and Industry standards, policies and practices are followed at all times.

Responsibilities:
Ensures that the work is performed safely, in accordance with company and regulatory standards and practices
Accountable for effective emergency response of Structures Services and for the recovery efforts following mishaps and natural
disasters.
Responsible for performing Risk Assessments for local projects.
Accountable for effective initial response to emergent track conditions (derailments, washouts, etc) that occur in the territory.
Manages the construction, installation and maintenance of culverts and structures.
Serves as the initial Structures contact outside the organization.
Reviews performance of service levels impacted by bridge and culvert failures and develop corrective action plans.
Coordinates maintenance work with other ES groups and with Operations to minimize train delays.
Implements process changes for Structures to increase production, quality, responsiveness and safe working conditions.
Monitors performance of the delivered services to ensure proper and consistent practices and procedures are being followed and
that proper utilization of personnel and material is being made.
Manages the activities to ensure cost effective maintenance and responsive delivery of equipment and Structures services to our
customers.
Provides recommendations for short and long term maintenance and renewal of bridges, culverts and other structures.
Assists in the development of estimates required to meet CPR's competitive needs.
Ensures that work is completed within budget.
Provides direction and guidance to the supervisor for area of responsibility by understanding and applying the provisions of the
Collective Agreements governing the conduct of Structures employees, ensuring compliance through the grievance procedure of
the applicable collective agreement.
Ensures Company Values are understood and adhered to by all staff.
Receives technical direction and guidance from Director Structures & Projects.

Qualifications: Professional Engineer/University Degree in Engineering with ability to obtain P.E. designation
Three (3) years railway experience.
Proven success/ ability in Planning, Prioritizing and Goal Setting, problem resolutions.
Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
Proven leadership and strong interpersonal skills.

Starting Salary: $84,504 per year
