SOUTH TANGERANG
My name is Kevin Alexander and im twenty years old. I live in South Tangerang
since i three years old. Geographically, South Tangerang is located in Banten Province.
South Tangerang is located in the eastern part of Banten Province that is at the point
coordinates 106 ' 38 '-106 ' 47 ' East longitude and 06 ' 13 ' 30 '-06 ' 22 ' 30 ' South
latitude. In South Selatan there is an area that called BSD (Bumi Serpong Damai) City,
i lived here since i was kid. I grew here, school and live in this area. BSD City was a
modern city that is the part of Tangerang Selatan, Banten.
This is a crowded city because so many people live here. There are more than
20 school in this city, thats mean this city have so many children lived and schooled.
Start from kindergarden school, pre-school, primary school, junior high school and
senior high school. Ther also some state university and private university. This city also
have so many hospital, and the other important building in a city. This city was
developed by SINARMAS Cooperation and have been a independent city. Day by day,
this city is being looked like Jakarta City. The traffic jam and the crowded people full fill
this city with the diverse kind of peolple. The economic raise is being good because of
this city is become a strategic city between Jakarta and the Port of Merak. BSD City is
also become a place for property business.
In my opinion, BSD City is the center of the city. Because there are about 25
malls in this city, and every single mall will never be deserted because many people
have their need in each mall. This is the list of the Mall and Shoping Center at BSD

The newest and the most famous mall in Jabodetabek is AEON Mall BSD City. This
was made by Japan Coopertarion called AEON. This mall have an unique things that
called Sakura Park. But is not the real sakura, it was made by so many colourfull
lamp and make it beautifull in the night with the shining of colorfull lamp. Another
unique place in this city is Taman Jajan and Taman Kota. In Taman Jajan, we can find
so many traditional foods with very cheap price. We can find Soto, Ketoprak, Bubur
Ayam, Es Doger, and the other traditional foods. About Taman Kota, it is a place for
jogging. In this place we also can find some community do their activity, like Tangsel
Muay Thai community, L-Men Tangsel Community, Yoga in every Saturday and
Sunday, and the other. There are also 2 place like a foodcourt in this city, they are
Flavor Blizz and The Breeze. There are so many food restaurant in this foodcourt, but
there are the different between this kind of foodcourt and the Taman Jajan. This kind of
foodcourt ask us about high price to get some food, it is different between Taman Jajan
where we can get full with only 10-15k Rupiah.
Tangerang Selatan have no their own culture, but the most people have a
Betawi culture on them.
