INTERNSHIPS

Developed constant current source for a Resistance Temperature Detector

June-Aug2013
Was involved on the project for the COIL Lab at LASER SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY CENTRE (LASTEC) DEFENCE
RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION (DRDO), Delhi. Studied the characteristics of a resistance temperature
detector and designed and fabricated the hardware for the same.
WAN Optimization
June-Aug2012
Was involved on a live project for Bharti Infratel at Dimension Data, Delhi .Studied the properties and characteristics of the
Bharati Infratel Network in North India and used Riverbed as a solution for the same.

M.TECH THESIS
Joint Channel Estimation and Symbol Detection for Sparse Time Varying MIMO-OFDM OSTBC System
Guide: Prof Aditya K Jagannatham
May15-ongoing
Exploit the temporal sparsity inherent in MIMO-OFDM-OSTBC time varying systems by employing the recently developed Sparse
Bayesian learning(SBL) framework
Deriving theoretical performance bounds to characterize the system performance parameters such as Mean Square Error and Bit
Error Rate and Comparison with sparse and non sparse schemes existing in the literature. TOOL :MATLAB
KEY ACADEMIC PROJECTS
CASCADE AND HYBRID OF ANT COLONY OPTIMISATION AND SIMULATED ANNEALING
Guide: Prof Akash Tayal
Jan14-May 14
Used the cascade and hybrid of Ant Colony Optimization and Simulated Annealing algorithms to solve the Travelling Salesman
Problem (TSP) and achieved an increase in performance by 3.192 % using the hybrid and 5.292% using the cascade algorithms as
compared to using only Ant Colony Optimization to solve TSP.
Platform: MATLAB
ANT COLONY OPTIMISATION AND ITS MODIFICATIONS
Guide: Prof Akash Tayal
Aug-Dec 13
Used Ant Colony Optimization to solve the Travelling Salesman problem and suggested modification to various parameter values
used and found out the best possible set of parameter values.
Platform: MATLAB
RECONSTRUCTING STORYLINE GRAPHS FOR IMAGE RECOMMENDATION FROM WEB COMMUNITY
PHOTOS
Guide: Prof Sumana Gupta
Jan15-May 15
Constructed a storyline graph to automatically summarize a large set of pictures. The resultant photo stream consists of a single
linear thread of story as an image sequence.
Platform: MATLAB

IMAGE SCRAMBLING BASED ON A NEW LINEAR TRANSFORM

Guide: Prof Sumana Gupta
Aug14-Dec 14
The scrambling and unscrambling of image is carried out using forward and reverse transform respectively. Transformation
matrices defined and recursive, non recursive algorithms were also implemented. The degree of image scrambling was very high
and the algorithm was shown to have robust performance in presence of noise.
Platform: MATLAB
GENETIC ALGORITHMS FOR NON CONVEX ALGORITHMS
Guide: Prof Ketan Rajawat
Jan15-May 15
The Travelling Salesman Problem is solved using Genetic Algorithm, ACO and LP by reducing the problem to a convex one using
relaxations and the performance is compared.
Platform: MATLAB
A SURVEY OF MC DS CDMA OVER RAYEIGH FADING CHANNEL
Guide: Prof Aditya K Jagannatham
Aug14-Dec14
The performance of a MC DS CDMA wireless system over a Rayleigh Fading channel is analyzed. The study is extended to MC DS
CDMA system with Rake Receiver with Equal Gain Combining (EGC) and Rake Receiver based on Wavelet Packet Transform.
Also the system is examined over a Rayleigh channel with receive diversity.
Typesetting Tool: LATEX
A SURVEY OF COMPRESSIVE SENSING BASED ESTIMATION TECHNIQUES
Guide: Prof Aditya K Jagannatham
Jan15-May 15
Formalized the notion of sparse system models and presented an approach to estimate sparse systems based on some of the recent
advances in the theory of compressive sensing.
Typesetting Tool: LATEX
