Proposal for Orientation program

Introduction
Orientation, known as the first formal interaction between the college and the new students cant
be powerful and weighted without doing in a completely new and entertaining environment
rather than the regular environment of college. Students as well as the faculty member and board
members of college can have certain enthusiasm regarding each other, this only can be fulfill by
an extra ordinary orientation program. We Generation of Active Leaders (GOAL) are proposing
to facilitate your orientation as per the following.

About Goal
GOAL is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) established in the year 2014 for the benefit of
mankind especially for the economically and socially backward rural people.
We are working to identify and meet the needs and aspirations of the youth, women and children
in different society bringing changes to their lives.
Main thrust area of the organisation is social, economical development of youth, neglected
women and children of most backward communities and minorities through organising the
women into groups and federation; provided varies, training, exposure and workshops on
leadership, decision-making, free legal aid, strengthening and improving the women involvement
in the process at all levels, gender, economic generation activities etc.
For Child integrated development organization will implement education center, pre-schools,
non-formal education center, Fellowship programme, and Bridge Schools for rehabilitation of
neglected children. Lobby and Advocacy programme of campaigns, street plays, programs which
will be conducted to pressurize the government and public for implementation of child related
bills and acts effectively.
For youth related programs for personal development, skill building trainings, leadership ,
capacity building , career development, volunteer involvement making them able to start up
business and improve their knowledge and skills for the dynamic job market.
Environmental education, awareness and up-gradation program will also be focused during these
years through implementation of watershed program, Sustainable agriculture promotion
program, tanks rejuvenation, ground water rechargement, natural resource management program.
These projects will be developed for good impacts in improvement of bio-diversity enrichment
and vegetation development

Objectives
The sole objective of the organization is to
- Bring out the leadership qualities in youth.
- Make participator in every activity in the people, which are focused on social
development.
- To provide better education services to the children who are not able to get the primary
education.
- To provide womens to make a living by giving them the training, workshops and
facilities to have better knowledge on capacity building and health related issues.
Resource Person for orientation program
Abdus Miya is a young social entrepreneur and leadership coach. Abdus Miya is a
proactiove youth-media activist who is specialized in sustainable education and media.
As the founder of open space Nepal, he leads overall strategy for the enterprise, focuses
on building a remarkable team and develops partnership and programs.
Abdus previously produced and hosted a series of record setting English inspirational
television talk show called the open space in Himalaya television.
An alumnus of us embassy youth council Nepal and generation change; a global network
of change makers, mr, miya studied public policy and government leadership from
southern illionios university.

About Hotel Mirable Dhulikhel

The Mirabel resort pvt. Ltd is situated amidst unique natural beauty and is 30 km, east of the
capital city kathm,andu, on the araniko raj marg. Its about an hour drive from Kathmandu and

Objectives of Orientation Program

1. Welcome new students and familiarize them with college culture, values and traditions.
2. Provide information on college resources and support services that are vital to successful
transition and academic success.
3. Introduce students to the board curriculum and co-curricular programs available to them.
4. Familiarize students with the physical surrounding of the college.
5. Provide various opportunities for new students to have fun, interact with their peers, feel
excited about their academic life and integrate into college community.
6. Align new students goals and expectation with college academic expectations and
learning outcomes.
7. Help students understand their own potential and challenge.
8. Instill within student a sense of responsibility and ownership of their education.

9. Inform students of their right and responsibilities associated with being a member of
college community.

students with some learning.
