Developed a search engine using C++ for a complete dump of wikibooks.org
It made use of a persistent inverted file index, a Boolean query processor, tf-idf ranking for results, a
custom XML parser, and a command-line user interface
Optimized program for efficiency and memory usage, all 700 megabytes of text were parsed and
indexed in just over 1 minute
First-Year Design Project Winner
Spring 2014
Worked as part of a multidisciplinary team to design, build, and program a water-testing and
remediation robot that could complete objectives on an obstacle course
Finished first in the final competition against other teams robots
Point person for programming and implementing all of the functions of the robots technical capacities
Utilized scrum methodology, agile design, sprints, and retrospectives to obtain leadership and team
building experience in a project based learning environment

I worked on a team to develop a web service for cataloguing and searching for study spaces at SMU
My responsibilities included building a PHP back-end using a LAMP stack on an Amazon EC2 instance
I also wrote and designed an Android companion app which took advantage of a PHP RESTful API
