Dear Scholarship Applicant,
The Mayors Asian American Advisory Board (MAAAB) welcomes your scholarship
application for year 2016. A
minimum of five scholarships will be awarded during a ceremony on May 21st. This is a onetime award in the
amount of $500.00.

The application process will start on December 8, 2015.

Eligibility requirements are:

High School Senior in Good Standing

Of Asian Ancestry
Duval County Resident
Attending College or University

Recipient selection is based on:

Academic Rank and/or Hardship

Extracurricular Activities and Talents (ROTC, Sports, Creative Writing, and Arts)
Leadership Roles, Awards/Honors and Verified Community Involvement
Essay
Letter of Recommendation

To be eligible:
Completed and signed applications must be emailed, postmarked or hand delivered to 1809 Art Museum
Drive Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32207 by March 4, 2016. Application and the letter of recommendation
must be typed.
