FADE IN:
INT. SPACESHIP - COCKPIT - DAY
A futuristic room. Most controls are made of glass with a
luxurious touch to it. A hologram of the ship and a large
asteroid are in display on the main terminal.
GERALD, tall, tan, good looking, thick beard, sits in
despair. Hes covered himself with a blanket. He glances at
the controls then gawks through the front window.
A United States and Mexico flag hang besides each other over
the door. Gerald giving his back to the flags.
Lights go out, everything is dark for a second when red
flashing lights pop up along with a loud alarm.
Gerald doesnt move.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
(Womans voice) The asteroid
collision is in nine minutes.
Controls are still unresponsive,
override in progress.
Gerald doesnt move; he sits in defeat. A single tear rolls
down his cheek.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
Escape pods are on stand by.
Gerald doesnt move.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
What are you doing? I can set a
course for earth in the pod. All
you have to do is get in. There are
enough resources for your trip.
Gerald stares in defeatism at the asteroid.
Please.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)

Gerald doesnt move.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
Eight minutes. There isnt much
time. Why are you so indecisive?
Dont you want to see Sydney?

2.
Gerald wipes his light tears. He looks at his left wrist,
theres a horizontal scar. He caresses it.
Go home.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)

GERALD
Okay. Play my song. Im going home.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
You got it, boss.
Gerald slowly stands up and walks away. The alarm stops and
we begin to hear a song.
INT. CHANGING ROOM - CONTINUOUS
Gerald is changing into a spandex suit.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Five minutes.
He finishes putting on the suit.
INT. ESCAPE POD - CONTINUOUS
Looks like a bar, but with no chairs, just something that
looks like a couch, in the middle of the room.
The red lights are still flashing.
Gerald makes himself an old fashion and grabs a pack of
smokes.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Three minutes. Please hurry. Three
minutes might not be enough.
He straps himself, then downs his drink.
Im ready.

GERALD

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Locking all doors and setting
course. One minute until collision.
Gerald lights a smoke. Sits there confidently.
SUPER: GERALD.
Then

3.
YEAR: 2050.
FADE OUT.
FADE IN:
INT. BRIDGE - MORNING
Gerald, in a bed, jerks off holding a picture of a blonde
girl on his phone.
INT. BRIDGE - CONTINUOUS
Screen monitors, chairs, all type of controls are built
around. In the center there is a large glass wall that works
like a television screen, In front of it, lies a mattress
with blankets and pillows on them, and a heater next to it.
Theres an Xbox on the floor hooked up to the glass
television.
Next to the mattress there is a very large table with a glass
display, and next to that table there is a pool table that
doesnt look like it goes there.
The walls are made of glass. WE can see space in the
background.
The film DRIVE plays on the glass screen.
Gerald, clean shave, in sweats and a large T-shirt, jumps on
the mattress with a plate of food. Sits on it, legs criss
crossed.
CUT TO:
Gerald sits at the glass table, papers are scattered around
him.
ANGLE ON - Papers. They have been type up on screenplay
format.
He types away on his laptop.
CUT TO:
Gerald sits on his bed, legs criss crossed, now he wears a
beanie, reads a book. Flips the page.
ANGLE ON - Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. We see the page
hes on.

4.
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Lights are dim. Gerald sits as pilot. Stares through the
front window, into space, admiring it. He smiles.
He logs into the terminal and plays a video of Reggie Watts
stand up. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a joint,
lights it.
He starts to laugh.
INT. BRIDGE - MORNING
Gerald, in bed, jerks off to the blonde girl again, looking
at her picture from his phone.
INT. GARDEN - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald walks through revising a garden of all type of plants.
He stops and caresses a marijuana plant, checks out the buds.
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald wears the same clothes, but a different beanie,
covered in a blanket, sits as pilot listening to the radio
play a soccer game.
He drinks a cup of coffee.
RADIO (O.S.)
Chelsea having their worse season
since nineteen fourteen. Well,
lets not forget the season they
had in 2015 with Jose Mourinho.
Yes.
Gerald takes a sip of his coffee.
RADIO (O.S.) (CONTD)
Manchester on the ball. Flores
passes to Chicharito Junior. My
god, what a player, just like his
father. He takes on the defender.
Oh, hes through! He shoots! He
scores!
Gerald makes a victorious fist.

5.
INT. CORRIDOR - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald wears a Juventus soccer jersey, in shorts, dribbles a
soccer ball, rushing to the end of the hall.
INT. GYM - SOON AFTER
Large and empty. Theres a soccer goal post, Gerald shoots at
it, he scores. He walks to the center of the room, takes off
his jersey, and starts doing push ups.
INT. BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald in his soccer clothes from earlier sits on the
mattress and plays his Xbox.
CUT TO:
Gerald asleep on his mattress.
CUT TO:
MORNING
Gerald wakes up, rubs his eyes, grabs his phone, puts on a
picture of the hot blonde girl and begins to jerk off.
Suddenly, an alarm goes off coming from the cockpit.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Gerald keeps jerking off.
The alarm continues. BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
In a flash, lights go out. Red flashing lights pop up. The
alarm is now heard coming from all over the ship.
Gerald stops, upset.
GERALD
Cant even rub one out.
He rushes to the cockpit.
INT. COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS
Gerald starts operating the controls, clicking a bunch of
buttons.

6.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Asteroid 12 miles headed on our
direction.
Gerald finishes pressing buttons. He checks out the hologram
in the center, theres a small asteroid.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
You should have never turned me
off. There is work the system
needs. I would have also changed
the ships course ahead of time to
evade the asteroid.
GERALD
Yeah, but you talk to much.
Gerald leans back on his seat, relaxed. The asteroid passes
by the ship, seen through the front window.
The alarm stops, red lights stop flashing. Were back to
normal.
GERALD (CONTD)
Is that it?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Im scanning the system for any
inconsistencies.
Gerald begins to press some buttons on the controls.
GERALD
That wont be necessary. Aight.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Yes it is. Do not shut me off
again. If theres any sort of
probl...
Gerald finishes operating the controls. He stares into the
window looking at space, mesmerized.
EXT. HOUSE PARTY - NIGHT - FLASHBACK
A rich persons house, trees, a big back yard, a pool etc.
Gerald, in a suit, lays on a inflatable object on the pool.
He lights a smoke. He stares at the sky.
LITTLE GIRL (O.S.)
Has anybody ever gone to space?

7.
GERALD
Yeah, astronauts. Not far though.
LITTLE GIRL
Thats scary.
A little girl, 7, cute, wearing Geralds jacket.
GERALD
One day. Ill go. I bought a
spaceship, you know?
LITTLE GIRL
Thats so cool. I want to go to
space.
Gerald smiles, puts his arm around her.
GERALD
I dont think your parents will
like that.
A pause.
GERALD (CONTD)
Or maybe they will. Who knows.
LITTLE GIRL
I like space.
GERALD
I love space.
INT. BRIDGE - PRESENT
Gerald lays back down in bed, grabs his phone, and starts
masturbating to the blonde girl from his phone.
CUT TO:
INT. SHOWER - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald is taking a shower. He sings a song that plays in the
background.
INT. BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald lays on his mattress, eating an apple, watching a
soccer game.

8.
Out of the blue, the visual starts getting messed up. Gerald
doesnt seem to get bothered until the signal is completely
lost.
He nods his head no.
GERALD
Thats not going to be good.
INT. COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS
Gerald is operating the controls, but seems to be having a
difficult time. He keeps messing with them until the A.I.
Pops up.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I told you not to shut me off.
System is experiencing a glitch. I
was fixing the problem when you
shut me off.
Okay.

GERALD

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
From now on you can not shut me
off.
GERALD
Ill leave you on until you tell me
everythings okay.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Its too late. Ive taken the
liberty to reprogram the software.
From now on you cannot shut me off.
Gerald takes a deep breathe.
Fuck.

GERALD

INT. BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER

Gerald writes away typing on his laptop.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Humans by nature are social
animals. It is only logical and
natural to want to have a
companion. Somebody to socialize
with.

9.
GERALD
Dont worry. I am physically,
mentally, and emotionally stable.
Our mission is not compromised. By
the way, how far are we from the
checkpoint?
CUT TO:
MORNING
Gerald is jerking off yet again to the hot blonde on her
phone when....
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I need your help.
Gerald gets startled.
GERALD
Jesus! You fucking scared me.
Gerald tries to hide what he was doing as if somebody was
watching.
Whats up?

GERALD (CONTD)

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I need your assistance in adding a
new program into my software.
Describing to you the specifics
would take too long, in short, I
need you to write a line of code to
program into the main system in the
chance that I die. Its meant to
bring me back to life.
GERALD
Its going to take me a while to
learn code. How complicated is it?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The code is fairly simple. If you
can learn to code python or Java.
You may certainly learn this.
GERALD
Beginners, huh?
Yes.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

10.
GERALD
Good thing I have a lot of free
time. What are the odds anyway?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am your only option for survival.
If I die, you die. It is only in
your best interest to have a
backup.
GERALD
Nothings going to happen.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The radiation in deep space is far
much complicated and dangerous than
of earth. If it is too strong for
our shields it may corrupt my...
GERALD
Alright. Alright. Alright. Got it,
radiation, space, earth. Ill learn
the code, cupcake. Dont worry.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Do not call me cupcake.
GERALD
I could go for a cupcake.
INT. KITCHEN - MOMENTS LATER
There are a few tables set for a gathering. As far as the
rest of the room, it looks like a plain kitchen with fancy
lighting.
Gerald opens the fridge and pulls out a box of cupcakes.
He walks to one of the tables, sits down, pulls out a bag
from his pocket. Its weed. He rolls up a joint, lights it,
takes a hit, then takes a bite of the cupcake.
INT. BRIDGE - MORNING
Gerald sits at the table learning code. A soccer game is
heard playing on the intercom system. Gerald drinks coffee
and lights a smoke.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We will be approaching Pluto in an
hour.

11.
Gerald smiles.
GERALD
Nice. How long has it been? Like a
year?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Eight months, twelve days, thirteen
hours, five minutes, twelve
seconds.
GERALD
Time flies. This things faster
than I thought. I thought wed
reach Pluto in a year.
CUT TO:
Gerald lays in bed watching The good the bad and the ugly.
He takes a sip of his old fashion and smokes a cigarette. We
see a scene of the film.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We are reaching Plutos orbit.
Gerald stands up and rushes to the large window near by. We
see Pluto in a close distance. He takes a drag of his smoke.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
The S.S. Gambino is near orbit.
Its orbiting Pluto's moon.
GERALD
Can you access it?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Of course I can.
GERALD
Take picture of the ship and send
it to NASA.
Accessing.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

Gerald is captivated by Pluto.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
Taking pictures.
Gerald flips off the S.S. Gambino.
CUT TO:

12.
INT. NASA HEADQUARTERS - DAY
A large, busy office with many men and women working at their
desk. Things are loud.
A FAT MAN is on his computer when he receives a picture of a
ship, if looked at closely, Gerald is seen giving the bird.
FAT MAN
Oh my god. Its J.J. Bal!
Everybody!
The picture starts showing up on all monitors. People begin
to call out about it.
FAT MAN (CONTD)
There he is.
MAN
Whats he doing?
FAT MAN
Is he...flipping us off?
MAN
That son of a bitch.
INT. BRIDGE - CONTINUOUS
Gerald stands watching Pluto just how we left him.
Beautiful.

GERALD

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)

We could land for a day if youd
like to see the planet.
GERALD
No. We stay on course.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Affirmative.
GERALD
Fuck. Fuck. Pluto is right in front
of me.
Gerald takes a deep breathe. He walks to his mattress,
stressed.
GERALD (CONTD)
Oh my god. Fuck.

13.
He lays down.
GERALD (CONTD)
Fuck, I could have had a normal
life. This was a mistake.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
My readers are picking up a above
normal heart rate. It is best you
relax.
GERALD
I am relaxed.
Gerald begins to tear up.
Gerald takes out a joint and lights it. He tries to relax.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Exiting Plutos orbit. Continuing
on course.
GERALD
No. No. Set course for earth. Ive
seen Pluto. Okay. Fuck this.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Are you sure? It doesnt not seem
like an honest decision.
GERALD
What the fuck do you mean? Set
course for earth!
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Im reading high levels of stress.
A possible cause for your
moodiness.
GERALD
Im not fucking stressed out. I
want to go back home now. Its a
shock Ive lasted this long in
space.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
If you insist captain. Setting
course for earth.
Gerald in tears.
Thank you.

GERALD

14.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Why did you leave earth?
GERALD
I cant do this. Im leaving the
fucking solar system.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
You can still reach the checkpoint
then decide if you wish to continue
onto space or not. Dont forget our
route to earth will be faster due
to the increased speed of the ship.
GERALD
I wanted to die.
Die?

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)

GERALD
Thats why I left. I wanted to die
here, but I cant. I cant do it. I
love science, but I cant do this.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
There are simpler ways to commit
suicide. Leaving earth in a
spaceship seems unnecessary.
GERALD
I tried that.
Gerald caresses his scar on his wrist. Takes another drag of
his joint.
GERALD (CONTD)
Humans have an instinct for
survival. Its more difficult than
it sounds.
He wipes his tears.
GERALD (CONTD)
Okay. (To himself) Im going to die
here. Im not going back.
Gerald in defeat.
GERALD (CONTD)
Change course. Were going to the
checkpoint.

15.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Changing course.
Gerald takes a drag of his joint.
GERALD
How many satellites do we have?
Just the one?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
The main one, and two smaller ones.
GERALD
The main one is for the checkpoint.
Why do we have to extra ones?
Backup.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)

GERALD
They wont work as well.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
They are all meant to be dropped
off. I suggest you review the
mission objectives since you are
somewhat unaware of them.
GERALD
Load them to my computer.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
You have also input zero logs in
your personal database.
INT. BRIDGE - MORNING
Gerald, phone out, is jerking off to the blonde girl on his
phone.
Gerald.
Fuck.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)

GERALD

Gerald stops. Acts like he wasnt masturbating.

Yeah?

GERALD (CONTD)
CUT TO:

16.
Gerald sits at the table on his laptop, coding. Books are out
throughout the table.
Hes drinking and smoking a cigarette.
Gerald.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)

Gerald startles.
GERALD
Fuck. You scared me. What do you
want?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Do to your recent emotional
activity. It is necessary you visit
therapy.
GERALD
Im not about to get therapy from a
computer.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
How long have you felt like this?
Im fine.

GERALD

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)

Why did you leave earth?
Gerald takes a drag of his smoke.
GERALD
I dont get along with people.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Whos the woman you frequently
masturbate to?
GERALD
Stop. Stop.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It is perfectly natural...
GERALD
Im not having this conversation.
Alright. Thats enough for todays
session.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Dont forget your log.

17.
INT. COCKPIT - MORNING
Gerald, sipping on coffee, sits as pilot, listens to a soccer
game on the radio.
Gerald start messing around with the commands.
CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK
Suddenly.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
You cant shut me off.
Gerald gets startled.
GERALD
Fuck. Stop doing that.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Shutting me off will compromise our
mission.
GERALD
I wasnt trying to shut you off.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The commands show you tried.
GERALD
No, I was trying to do something
else.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
It doesnt seem like you were
trying to...
GERALD
Alright. Alright. It was an
accident.
A pause.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Dont forget your log and our
therapy session.
Shit.

GERALD

18.
INT. BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald on his laptop working on coding. Books open throughout
the table with papers.
Gerald is drinking and smoking.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Do you still want to die?
What?

GERALD

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)

Do you still want to die?
GERALD
Dont. You dont ask things like
that.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
I apologize. My program functions
to learn through experience.
GERALD
What exactly are you? Are you like
a person?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Yes. Treat me as such.
GERALD
So you have feelings?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
That is a difficult question to
answer, but right now were doing
therapy.
Gerald, annoyed, stops working.
GERALD
Okay, lets do this. Im ready.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
Do you want to kill yourself?
No.

GERALD

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)

Whos the woman?

19.
INT. HOUSE PARTY - NIGHT (FLASHBACK)
Gerald, looking good in a suit, talks to TONY, tall and
broad.
TONY
Let me see the scar?
GERALD
Nah, Im not going to show it to
you here. Nobody knows.
TONY
I cant believe you tried. Was it
your first time?
Gerald hesitates.
My second.

GERALD

TONY
What? Fuck. Why are you so
depressed?
GERALD
Theres plenty of rich depressed
people.
TONY
Usually theyre the born rich
people who are depressed. Self made
rich guy trying to kill himself?
Never heard of that before.
GERALD
So whatd she tell you? Rachel?
TONY
To just be friends.
GERALD
Aw, man. Again?
Yup.

TONY

GERALD
You got to stop with this bitch.
Shell never like you.
TONY
Youre one to talk.

20.
GERALD
Yeah, but I actually get pussy. I
cant get all of them, but... most
of the time. So, whatd you do?
TONY
I said okay. Hung out a while then
everybody left.
GERALD
Good. Stay unreactive. Make her
doubt her choice.
TONY
Word. Wheres your girl?
GERALD
I dont know. Is she coming?
Tony laughs.
TONY
You wouldnt show up if she wasnt
coming. You live in your cave. You
never leave your room.
GERALD
I come out all the time.
Tony gives him a look.
CUT TO:
INT. GERALDS HOUSE - DAY
House is a big mess. Old pizza boxes, soda cans, beer cans,
clothes on the couch.
Gerald, long beard, in dirty sweatpants and T-shirt, opens
the front door.
Its sunny, Gerald moves his hand up to block some of the
sun, he holds a twenty dollar bill.
GERALD
You can keep the change as tip.
Its not a pizza guy, its Tony.
Seriously?

TONY
CUT TO:

21.
INT. HOUSE PARTY - PRESENT
Back to gerald and tony how we left them.
TONY
Whatd you do without me? You need
someone to keep you in reality.
GERALD
And by the way Im working on
another screenplay.
TONY
How are your business?
GERALD
Good. I got people to do my job.
Fuck that.
SYDNEY, the blonde from the picture, walks in, shes
beautiful.
TONY
Your girls here.
Gerald looks at her. Hes mesmerized.
TONY (CONTD)
You gonna try again?
GERALD
Of course I am.
TONY
Just wait til she breaks up with
her boyfriend.
GERALD
Hot girls like her always have
boyfriends. Waiting is killing the
game.
Sydney walks to Gerald.
SYDNEY
Hi, wow, you finally left your
house.
She smiles. Her dimples stand out. She has a pretty face,
light make up.

22.
INT. BRIDGE - (PRESENT)
Gerald exactly how we left him.
GERALD
Thats it for today. Im not much
of a talker.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
We need to discuss your depression,
and your chronic masturbation.
Not today.

GERALD

Gerald goes back to working on his laptop.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
You are a difficult individual.
Thanks.

GERALD

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I was not complementing you.
GERALD
Yeah, you were.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
No, I was not.
Gerald chuckles.
GERALD
(To himself) This might be fun.
INT. BRIDGE - MORNING
Gerald just waking up starts jerking off again. He holds his
cell phone with the picture of the blonde girl.
In a flash....
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Gerald gets startled, drops his phone.
GERALD
What the fuck?
Lights go out. Red flashing lights pop up.

23.
GERALD (CONTD)
Cupcake talk to me. What the fuck?!
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We are...experiencing a hit of
radiation. Its affecting my
commands.
GERALD
Radiation? Where the fuck did it
come from?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Super nova. A hundred light years
away. Its rays have penetrated the
shields layers.
GERALD
Why couldnt you see it coming?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (O.S.)
It happened to fast. I cannot
calculate everything in space.
GERALD
Whats going to happen?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We are still on course for the
checkpoint, however, I can not
access certain commands due to the
defunct systems.
GERALD
I told you to take us back to
earth! Why did I let you convince
me to stay?
Gerald is freaking out.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We have another problem.
GERALD
What is it?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The ship was for the most part on
autopilot. I did have to act as
pilot a few times to re direct our
course due to the asteroids roaming
around space.

24.
GERALD
Dont tell me theres an asteroid
headed towards us.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
There is an asteroid headed towards
us.
GERALD
How far away?
Two hours.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

GERALD
Thats enough time for you
to...overrride what ever commands
you have to? You can still fly the
ship, right?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Partially, however, there are
random functions I cannot do.
GERALD
Ill fly the ship.
Gerald rushes to the cock pit.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Its locked.
INT. COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS
Gerald tries to fly the ship, but the commands on the
terminals are unresponsive.
GERALD
What the fuck, cupcake?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Systems have locked. Manuel
operations are blocked.
GERALD
What the fuck? Why?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The radiation as disaggregated a
manual command of the ship.
Gerald sits back on the ship. Jaw dropped.

25.
GERALD
Radiation? No. That doesnt make
sense.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
A super nova emits a ridiculous
amount of radiation. We just
happened to be in the wrong place
at the wrong time. Its rays were
too strong for the ships defenses.
GERALD
What about earth?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The radiation may not hit earth
since we are slightly closer to the
rays and even if it did, earths
atmosphere would protect it from
light rays. Its safe to say Earth
is at a safe distance from the
radiation, but not us.
GERALD
What can you do?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The ship is still locked on
autopilot. Im working around the
faulty systems to change our route.
GERALD
Can you do it?
The A.I. Doesnt answer. Gerald is beyond stressed, but
somehow keeps it together.
GERALD (CONTD)
Answer me. Please.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The odds are against us. Too much
damage has been done.
GERALD
But you have two hours.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It may not be enough time.
Fuck! No!

GERALD

Geralds eyes begin to tear up.

26.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
You are forgetting there are escape
pods that could take you back to
earth.
GERALD
Fuck it. Ill stay here.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Do you want to die?
GERALD
I guess so. Ive tried but failed.
Maybe this is how I finally kill
myself. Fuck it.
Gerald walks to his mattress, grabs a blanket, and walks back
to the cockpit.
Why?

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

GERALD
I came here to die.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
You said you no longer wanted to...
GERALD
I know what I said. Ill ride it
out. Ill take the risk. Ill stay.
Geralds face is in despair. Hes calm.
We stay with Gerald for a moment until we.
CUT TO:
INT. ESCAPE POD - MOMENTS LATER
(Back to gerald from the opening scene)
Gerald, in a spandex suit, smoking the cigarette, sits on
what looks like a couch, strapped in.
GERALD
What the fuck! Do you mean! You
were fucking! Lying!
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Half lying.

27.

What!?

GERALD

Gerald, upset, unstraps himself.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We were hit by radiation. Our
commands were not compromised.
GERALD
Why did you...
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
To have you grow as a human. You no
longer want to kill yourself and
you will no longer try. At least
for the moment.
Gerald cant believe this. He starts laughing. He begins to
relax.
GERALD
Oh. My. God. Im not even mad. I
need a fucking joint.
Gerald walks out the escape pod, a little upset.
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald leans back on his seat. Smoking.
GERALD
That was quite the scare. I do feel
a lot better. Something strange,
really.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I knew this would help you. Either
way. You would have not died.
GERALD
How bad was the radiation hit?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It burned a piece of one of the
engines. I turned it off for the
moment and started a back up engine
until the androids repair it.
GERALD
Nothing that could destroy you?

28.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
There was a slight glitch in my
system which I am currently working
on fixing. It did affect me.
Woah.

GERALD

Geralds worried.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Its best you finish the line of
code in case my software gets
corrupted.
GERALD
Holy fuck. You called this. How bad
is it?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am having difficulty with the
firmware.
GERALD
Wait. Is this another test? I feel
better this is unnecessary.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
No, this is not another personal
growth exercise.
GERALD
Is that part of the test?
Gerald takes a hit of the joint.
No.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

A pause.
GERALD
Is that part...
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
No. No. Its not. This is real.
GERALD
Let me ask you a question. Do you
know the future? Whats going to
happen to me?

29.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I can not tell the future, but I
can do my best to predict it with
certain algorithms.
GERALD
Okay, check this out, use your
algorithms to find out the odds of
finding an alien like in the movie
alien that boards my ship and kills
me.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am unfamiliar with the film, but
the chance of encountering an
organism unknown to humans is
beyond measure.
GERALD
What do you mean beyond measure?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I do not have enough data to make
an accurate assumption.
Gerald, high as a kite, takes another puff, then starts
laughing hysterically.
GERALD
Aw, man. What the fuck is going on?
Am I really in a ship lost in
space?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We arent lost.
Gerald continues to laugh.
GERALD
Is this real?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It would be a good idea to stop
smoking Marijuana.
GERALD
Dont tell me what to do. Why you
always sound so formal and smart
and shit. Lay back a little.
Gerald puts out the joint.
GERALD (CONTD)
I am pretty fucking high though.

30.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I was programmed to sound like
this.
GERALD
But you can learn to speak a little
different, right?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Yes, through experience.
GERALD
Okay so from now on talk a little
bit like me. You know how I talk so
just copy me, a little.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Alright, cupcake.
GERALD
No, dont call me that. I call you
that call me...G. Or something.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Alright...G.
GERALD
Now were talking.
Gerald gets on the terminals.
GERALD (CONTD)
I want to watch some porn. Cupcake!
Put some porn on!
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We dont have any pornography
stored in the database.
Gerald stands up.
GERALD
Its okay. I got the picture.
INT. BRIDGE - MORNING
Gerald wakes up. He lays on the mattress. He rubs his eyes,
takes a deep breathe.
GERALD
(To himself) I wanted this. I
wanted this. Okay.

31.
INT. KITCHEN - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald prepares himself a cup of coffee.
GERALD
Cupcake, leave the heater on a
little longer, yeah? Its colder
than usual.
Cupcake doesnt answer.
Cupcake?

GERALD (CONTD)

INT. BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER

Gerald works on his coding. Papers and books are scattered
throughout the table.
Gerald lights a smoke.
GERALD
Buttercup? Are you there?
INT. BATHROOM - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald shaves what is now a long beard and gives himself a
short cool haircut.
INT. BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald, in a suit, looking real good, sits at the table
holding a couple books.
ANGLE ON - pack of smokes, an old fashion, books, papers, a
bag of weed and some rolling paper. His closed laptop.
Gerald opens up his laptop.
He lights a smoke, takes a deep breathe, then takes a long
drag.
TIME FAST FORWARDS
Gerald is flipping through the pages of the books, writes on
the white sheets of paper, lights cigarette after cigarette,
drink after drink.
In the background, from the large see-through glass wall, we
see space, its stars, a milky way.

32.
TIME GOES BACK TO NORMAL
ANGLE ON - Geralds face. His eyes blood shot. Hes
exhausted.
Gerald plugs in a U.S.B. To his laptop.
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald plugs in the USB in the terminal, starts clicking all
over the terminals.
Suddenly.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Systems malfunc....system going
offli...
I knew it.

GERALD

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Gerald, my system has been
corrupted...it doesnt let me...
Gerald continues working on the terminal. We begin to hear
static.
Fuck.

GERALD

Gerald stops.
INT. BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald back at the table working on the code.
CUT TO:
MUCH LATER
Gerald asleep on the table, wakes up.
INT. COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS
Gerald checks the ships route on the terminal.

33.
INT. STORAGE - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald walks through all kinds of supply. Refrigerators
running next to each other. Water gallons stored up next to
each other.
Then gerald walks inside a room.
INT. STORAGE - BACK ROOM - CONTINUOUS
A very large freezer taking most of the room.
Gerald walks to a terminal.
We see: DOG, CAT, CHEETAH, LION...
Gerald clicks on the option labeled Dog.
Then continues clicking on the terminal.
Abruptly, the freezer starts operating, making noise and
shit.
DING!
Gerald opens the freezer. Theres a puppy, a German Shepherd
inside, wet, and scared.
The puppy starts throwing up and starts to cry, loud.
GERALD
Its okay. Its okay.
Gerald caresses the puppy, wraps the puppy in a towel.
GERALD (CONTD)
What should I name you?
....Dogmeat? No, thats unoriginal.
INT. BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER
The puppy sits on the mattress covered in blankets.
Gerald works on the coding at the table. He smokes and
drinks. A song plays in the background coming from his
laptop.
We FAST FORWARD again.
Gerald stays seated, drinking, smoking, turning papers from
his books, writing on papers; he types away.

34.
Puppy stays on the mattress, but gets out and runs around.
The stars seen from the window are seen passing by.
ANGLE ON - Geralds face. Hes exhausted, eyes blood shot,
again.
We COME BACK to normal life.
Gerald throws himself on the mattress. The puppy tries to
play with Gerald. He pets him.
He goes to sleep.
CUT TO:
NEXT DAY
Gerald wakes up, his suit is pretty messy with food stains.
His tie is loose.
He sits down at the table and continues to work on his
coding.
Puppy gets out of bed and walks over to his bowl of food and
water close by.
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald holds the USB and kisses it.
GERALD
Please work.
Gerald inserts the USB and starts clicking all over the
terminal.
Gerald stops and lights up a joint. He starts tapping his
fingers on the chair. He takes a drag.
Hi, G.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

GERALD
Are you back?
Yes, I am.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

A big sign of relief goes through Geralds face.

35.
GERALD
Oh, thank god. I though I was going
to die. I though of going back to
earth, but I decided not to. Now,
tell me what the fuck happened? You
didnt even let me know?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I did not have the opportunity. I
was scanning the system for
malfunctions when I was shut off.
GERALD
So my line of codes worked?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Partially, they could have been
better but I can take it from
there. You should still work on
them in case there is another
accident. Its good to be back
Captain.
GERALD
Dont do this to me again, okay
cupcake?
Okay.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

GERALD
Baby girl, you had me worried.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am detecting another life source
on the ship.
GERALD
Oh, I think its an Alien. Alien
from the movie Alien.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It a dog. Im surprised, I did not
expect that from you, Captn.
GERALD
Im full of surprises.
Gerald takes another drag of his smoke.
GERALD (CONTD)
Chubaca! Come here, boy!
Chubaca rushes inside biting a toy. Gerald begins to pet him.

36.
GERALD (CONTD)
Okay, I need some sleep. Please
dont die again.
Yes, G.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

INT. BRIDGE - MORNING

Gerald wakes up, he looks around, hes alone, no dog.
He grabs his cellphone and displays a picture of the blonde
girl, Sydney.
He starts to jerk off.
INT. SHOWER - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald showers.
INT. KITCHEN - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald makes himself a cup of coffee.
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald in a suit sits as Captn. He lights up a joint.
GERALD
Whats next? Hows your program?
Gerald takes a drag.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Its going okay. I do need you to
finish your lines of code, G.
What else?

GERALD

Out of no where, a piece of a SHIP comes floating around and

hits the front window of the cockpit.
Gerald gets thunderstruck, jumps out of his seat.
GERALD (CONTD)
Shit. Fucking asteroid?
Theres a pink gooey substance stay lingering in the window.
Gerald notices and stares at it.

37.
GERALD (CONTD)
What type of asteroid was that?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It was not a asteroid. It appears
to be an unknown piece of
technology.
Geralds face drops.
GERALD
What? You cant be serious. Its
probably a piece of asteroid that
got ripped up with a piece of
planet or something.
Gerald takes a bit hit of the joint. The ship abruptly moves;
Gerald falls off his seat.
GERALD (CONTD)
It cant be from a ship or fucking,
I dont know, other humans. Thats
ridiculous. How far are we from the
solar system?
Gerald sits back in his chair.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It is perfectly normal to engage in
denial and rationalization. It is
one of the most common defense
mechanism humans have, however, I
will need your assistance in
assessing this object. I have
picked it up and placed it in the
hangar.
Oh my god.

GERALD

Gerald puts out his joint.

GERALD (CONTD)
Nah, its the fucking weed, bro.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
You must move the object to a more
secure location in the ship. In
case of an emergency, it would be
best to place it in one of the
escape pods.

38.
GERALD
Im hallucinating. Ive never
tripped out like this with the
gangja. I need to stop smoking this
shit.
Gerald rubs his eyes. Theyre red as the devils dick.
GERALD (CONTD)
Dont fuck with me, baby girl.
I am not.
Baby girl.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
GERALD

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
G, it appears you have completed
one of the objectives in your
mission on the J.J. BAL.
Congratulations, Captn.
GERALD
The mission was to drop off the
satellites so they could orbit the
sun.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The search for life was also an
objective.
GERALD
If I decided to go on further after
the shit with the fucking
satellites. No. No. Fuck. Okay.
Gerald gets out of his seat.
Chewie!

GERALD (CONTD)

INT. HANGAR - MOMENTS LATER

Gerald, in the same messy suit hes been wearing for days,
eyes red, stands over this odd piece of technology. The dog
is next to him.
Gerald walks over to the piece on the floor.

39.
Its thin, but long like a pencil. Theres a pink gooey
substance in the center of it that flows like a river, its
pink. The rest looks like metal with blue flashing lights. It
definitely looks out of earth and really futuristic.
Gerald takes a deep breathe. Looks to the roof. Hands on his
hip.
GERALD
I need some pussy.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Please take it to the workshop in
escape pod one for further
analysis. I have placed the ship on
high alert in case we run into the
rest of the ship.
GERALD
Im gonna fuck Sydney when I get
home.
Gerald focuses his attention on the odd piece of technology.
GERALD (CONTD)
Im hungry.
Gerald focuses on the pink slime on the technology piece.
GERALD (CONTD)
(To the dog) Are you hungry,
chicharito?
He turns to look at the dog.
GERALD (CONTD)
Hold on, cupcake. Im getting
something to eat.
Gerald walks out.
INT. CORRIDOR - CONTINUOUS
Gerald walks with the dog following him.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
You have made history for humanity
by finding this unknown piece of
what seems like technology and are
acting irrational.
GERALD
Dont worry it can wait.

40.
INT. KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS
Gerald makes himself a sandwich and grabs a bag of chips. He
opens the bag and throws some to the dog.
INT. HANGAR - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald standing over the odd piece of tech. Eating his
sandwich.
GERALD
(Mouthful of food) Okay, what do I
do?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Take it to the workbench in the
escape pod, Gerald. I am not sure
how to communicate with you at this
moment. Your behavior is erratic.
GERALD
Youre erratic.
Gerald takes a bite.
GERALD (CONTD)
This looks like sauce.
Gerald dips his fingers in the pink slime. It hardens put he
sticks his finger deeper and pulls it out. Its like glue.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Do not touch that. I need further
analysis of the module. We dont
know what it is.
GERALD
Can you access it?
Access it?

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

GERALD
Yeah, like a computer? Maybe it has
like a wi-fi receiver in it or
something. I wont have to take it
to the workbench.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Im not receiving any indicators of
such. Besides, we need to know what
its made out of.

41.
Gerald sucks his finger with the pink slime.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
What the hell! Dont eat that,
Captn! This is frustrating.
GERALD
Mhmm. So you can feel? Thats
weird. It actually doesnt taste
bad. Taste like medicine
and....like my laptop. Like a
calculator.
Gerald dips his finger again then places some of the slime in
his sandwich.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
No, do not eat more of it. It could
be potentially hazardous.
Gerald takes a bite.
GERALD
Mhmm. This is so good. Everythings
better when youre high. Okay.
Workbench.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am speechless.
Gerald picks up the piece with one hand, finishes his
sandwich with the other, then starts eating his chips.
INT. CORRIDOR - CONTINUOUS
Gerald walks with the piece of tech, surprisingly, the gooey
substance does not fall off, it moves around, but never
falls.
The dog follows Gerald.
GERALD
So what are you going to do? Hack
it?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
First, we need to know what it is.
What its made out of. I am
following proper protocol from my
programming.

42.
GERALD
Could you break it? Do you have
will?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Depending on the circumstances I
can act out of my programming.
INT. ESCAPE POD - WORKSHOP - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald places the item on a very futuristic workbench. He
eats his chips.
GERALD
Okay, maybe I can plug in a USB or
something?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
That would be unwise.
GERALD
I wouldnt want you accessing it on
second thought, what if it has a
virus? This technology could be a
lot better than yours.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am not making direct contact with
the item. Precautions are taken
into account.
The work bench closes off, sealing the object inside with
glass gates.
Okay.

GERALD

Gerald is still high as fuck, eyes are still really red. He

sits down on the floor.
GERALD (CONTD)
Fuck, I got too high again. Im
such a fucking lightweight.
The dog starts licking his face. Gerald doesnt even move.
GERALD (CONTD)
Pacheco, get off me.
Gerald passes out.
CUT TO:

43.
MOMENTS LATER
Gerald wakes up.
GERALD
Aw, man. I still feel high. Fuck.
Gerald looks around. The dogs gone. He stands up.
The piece of technology is still in the glass container
getting analyzed by lasers.
GERALD (CONTD)
How my god it did happen. I ate a
fucking alien ship.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Do you remember?
GERALD
Of course I fucking remember. I was
hoping it was a fucking dream.
Geralds now worried and upset.
GERALD (CONTD)
Fuck! Fuck! Could that shit kill
me? What I ate?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The elements found are mostly
unknown. We have caught a trace of
magnesium, aluminum, and helium. I
am still scanning for more.
GERALD
I dont want to turn into an Alien.
What if I lose my dick? And wheres
my dog? Wheres Chicharito?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It is best I examine you in the
medical bay.
Gerald looks around the room.
GERALD
Chichaaaaaaaa! Come here, boy!
In a flash, the ship drastically moves, knocking Gerald to
the ground.
GERALD (CONTD)
What the fuck, babe!

44.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am not doing that. It appears we
have been hacked. I am assessing
the problem.
GERALD
Its the fucking alien!
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It is an unknown operating system
of some sort. Most likely from the
piece we picked up.
GERALD
I called it! Fucking wi-fi shit.
Im fucking smart.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am picking up a lot of activity
from the fragment. Its on. Its
coded in an unknown language, and
its taking us to a star located
three thousand light years from
here. Theoretically, the ship can
make it with the solar energy it
will receive, however, you will not
live long enough to make the trip.
GERALD
What! Fuck, no! I want to go home.
Gerald starts to panic.
GERALD (CONTD)
No, no, this is a fucking dream.
Im dreaming. Is this another
fucking test? Dont fuck with me
baby girl.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
No, this is a real problem. You
have successfully found life in
space. Congratulations, Captn.
GERALD
Fuck! I left home off a fucking
tantrum and this shit fucking
happens? Nooooo.
GERALD (CONTD)
You need to stop them.
Gerald runs out of the room.

45.
INT. CORRIDOR - CONTINUOUS
Gerald runs through the place.
GERALD
I have an idea.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Its defense systems are too strong
for my software, I cannot stop
them. I can barely access part it.
GERALD
Try loading a virus in it.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I may possibly do it, but I cant
access its operating system.
GERALD
Load one to a USB.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
In progress.
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald, sweating, grabs a USB from the terminal. He looks
closely on it.
The USB has a screen on it which reads: Loading 91%.
Okay.

GERALD

Gerald runs out.

INT. CORRIDOR - CONTINUOUS
Gerald runs with his puppy who seems to be having a fun time
running behind.
GERALD
What virus are you loading?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I created one that is meant to not
only analyze, but also shut down
any operating system.

46.
GERALD
You created one? Thats fucking
cool. Whatd you name it?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
ZDGE19954X.
GERALD
No, no, name it something cool.
Name it candy.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
What is the meaning behind it?
GERALD
The last girl I fucked before
coming heres name is candy. Shes
a stripper.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am not naming a virus of this
high caliber after a stripper.
GERALD
Candys high caliber.
INT. ESCAPE POD - WORKSHOP - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald, tired, sweaty, rushes inside with the dog running
behind him.
He opens the glass container then searches for USB port. He
looks at the USB, it reads:!00%.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It is highly unlikely that there is
a port built for a USB.
GERALD
Shit, I didnt think of that.
Gerald searches for a port, but finds none.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am utterly helpless. His commands
are taking over the ship more and
more each second. He is still
trying to access my software. If he
does, which he will, you will be
doomed, Gerald.
GERALD
Well what the fuck do I do!?

47.
Gerald focuses on the pink slime.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am still trying to access the
operating system, but things dont
arent looking well.
Gerald sticks the USB inside the pink slime. He makes sure
the pink slime is deep inside the USB port.
Gerald stands over looking hopeful; he looks at the dog.
GERALD
It tasted computer-e.
Im in.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

Gerald makes a triumphant fist. A sign of relief crosses his

face.
GERALD
How is this possible? Isnt their
technology a lot better?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Yes, it is, but it appears that our
technology is so unknown that they
cant understand it. However, its
trying to scan the virus, its
trying to destroy it, but I may be
able to shut it off before. Im
also building another virus.
Gerald stands in strain.
GERALD
No, you cant beat it. Alien
technology is too high.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I can beat its functioning system.
I can...
Static starts to break them up.
Gerald....

ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)

GERALD
Shit, thats not good.
The static gets worse and worse.

48.
GERALD (CONTD)
Cupcake! Talk to me! I fucking knew
it.
Gerald grabs a tool shaped like a baseball bat from the tool
set on the work bench...
GERALD (CONTD)
Cupcake talk to me!
Gerald stands ready to hit the object.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Gerald...destroy the....G. Destroy.
Only...solution...is.
GERALD
Nice knowing ya.
He swings at the piece of technology.
SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH!
Gerald repeated beat the shit out of whatever the fuck this
thing is until its in pieces.
Geralds tired.
GERALD (CONTD)
Babe. Babe.
The lights on the item are all off.
INT. CORRIDOR - CONTINUOUS
Gerald runs with the dog following.
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald access the terminal. He restarts the system.
Then the lights go out. The ship slows doing to its normal
pace.
Gerald looks around, cautious.
Then he holds a button on the screen. The lights come back
on.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Hi, Gerald.

49.
GERALD
You back, bae?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Everything seems to be in place.
GERALD
How far off course are we?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We are approximately two thousand
two hundred and twenty three miles
off course, and three thousand
forty five miles away from the
checkpoint.
Gerald sits down on the Captn seat. He relaxes.
GERALD
Where do you think it came from?
You think theyre close?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
There is no way I could calculate
such questions.
GERALD
I need a joint.
INT. BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER
Geralds asleep on his mattress. His dogs next to him.
Theres a put out joint on a ashtray besides his bed.
CUT TO:
Gerald wakes up and jerks off to the blonde girl on his
phone.
CUT TO:
Gerald is drinking coffee, covered himself in a blanket,
enjoying watching space through the glass window.
Baby girl.
Yes.

GERALD
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

GERALD
How far are we from the checkpoint?

50.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We will be arriving there in
approximately five hours.
GERALD
(To himself) five hours, then I get
to go home.
Gerald lets out a big smile.
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald on his terminal, clicking away.
GERALD
Dispatch clear. Go ahead cupcake.
Let em out.
We hear something unload from the ship.
One huge satellite is seen from the cockpits window followed
by two smaller ones.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Satellites approximating location
for earths orbit. Congratulations
Captn, you have successfully
completed all objectives in the
mission. What choice will you make?
GERALD
I want to go home. Lets go. Turn
this bitch around.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Certainly. Setting course for
earth.
GERALD
Set the engines to full speed. I
want to get there soon.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Engine increase by full speed.
Geralds body shifts quickly due to the ships movement, but
then goes back to normal.
GERALD
How long until we get there?

51.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Estimated time arrival in three
months, fourteen days, twelve
hours, nineteen seconds.
Gerald leans back on his seat. A tear of joy pops out. He
looks at the dog.
GERALD
Were going home, dog.
INT. BATHROOM - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald walks out of the shower. He catches a glimpse of
himself in the mirror and then stares in the mirror like if
he didnt recognize himself.
He touches his face.
GERALD
I dont even look like myself
anymore. Who am I?
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald sits at his Captn seat. He starts up a log video.
GERALD
So, this is log one of the J.J.
BAL.
Finally.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

GERALD
Yes, well, Ive been busy. I think
I might be going crazy here. I
cant stop thinking about pussy.
Sydney in particular. Ive gone
like a year without pussy. It
hurts, but oh, I found aliens.
Wasnt expected that. They almost
killed me. Good thing Im a
fighter. For Those of you seeing
this that dont know me. I was
affiliated with, how do I say it,
mafia. Its how I have so much
money. I basically bought this ship
alone, well, theres other people
involved, anyway, theres a fighter
on this fucking ship. Still.

52.
GERALD (CONT'D)
Thats crazy, my names going down
in history. Like George fucking
Washington, George bush, George
Lopez. I also ate some alien
machine which I had forgotten until
now.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Are you ready to be examined? This
should be something we should have
done as soon as possible.
GERALD
Yeah, lets do it.
Gerald shuts off the log video.
INT. MEDICAL BAY - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald is in a glass container getting analyzed by a lot of
lasers.
INT. BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald is at the table on his laptop. He takes some pills.
GERALD
Okay, Im about to finish the code.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Dont forget to take your pills.
Yes, bae.

GERALD

INT. BRIDGE - NIGHT

Lights out. Gerald and the puppy are asleep on the mattress
when he wakes up and throws up next to the mattress.
The dog wakes up and tries to eat the throw up, but Gerald
stops him.
INT. BATHROOM - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald is throwing up in the toilet.
Oh, fuck!

GERALD

53.
Geralds a mess and obviously in pain.
GERALD (CONTD)
Whatd you do to me?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I told you about the side effects
of the medication prescribed.
GERALD
I dont need this shit. I was fine
before.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Unknowingly.
Gerald continues to throw up.
INT. BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald on his mattress, asleep.
EXT. CAFE - DAY - (FLASHBACK)
Its a sunny day. Cool looking place with a little bit of
people.
Gerald sits in front of Sydney. He smiles at her.
SYDNEY
Youre ridiculous.
Gerald smiles.
Thanks.

GERALD

SYDNEY
Not a compliment.
GERALD
Yes, it was.
SYDNEY
How are you like this? Youre too
young to act so mature.
GERALD
Well, Ive actually worked to get
to where Im at. Not like all the
typical juniors youll find in the
business.

54.
SYDNEY
It doesnt matter. Youre still
very young.
GERALD
Youre only four years older than
me.
Still.

SYDNEY

GERALD
Im self made. A have not only a
career as a writer, but as a
broker. I have status, I know a lot
of people, and I happen to think
Im a cutie pie. What more could
you want in a man?
Sydney laughs.
SYDNEY
Dont forget I have a boyfriend.
GERALD
I havent, but I dont really care.
Sydney laughs again.
SYDNEY
Where do you come off?
She smiles as she says it.
GERALD
When the pretty girl blows me off.
SYDNEY
Really? Not when you get out the
mafia?
GERALD
Dont believe everything you hear.
Im not a mafioso.
SYDNEY
Sure you arent. Ive seen you, you
know?
GERALD
If you must know. Im friends with
certain families, but not directly
in one.

55.
SYDNEY
I know, but that means youre
basically mafia. Ive seen you. Do
things.
GERALD
I know, Im hoping we get passed
that. Theres more to me than that.
If you think Im mafia then Im the
strangest mafioso youll ever meet.
SYDNEY
I know, youre weird.
A WAITER walks over to them to drop off the menus.
Thanks.
Im weird?

SYDNEY (CONTD)
GERALD

They both chuckle.

SYDNEY
You invest all your money on NASA.
They dont do that.
GERALD
I guess I am weird.
INT. BRIDGE - PRESENT
SUPER: ONE MONTH LATER.
Gerald wakes up a little out of it.
Red lights are flashing. The alarm is going off really loud.
The dog, bigger now, is scared, barks, but then tries to hide
under the blankets.
GERALD
What the fuck?
Gerald gets up. Hes got shorter hair, a cool haircut and a
scruffy beard.
Bae?

GERALD (CONTD)

56.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It appears we have made contact
with an alien ship.
Geralds face drops.
GERALD
I dont think so.
INT. COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS
Gerald looks out the window. Theres a beat up ship, its
small, has fire coming out of one end, and falling apart.
GERALD
Holy shit. Whats it doing?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Its only following us. It was
shooting us with something earlier,
but the ship appears to be fairly
dissevered.
GERALD
Damage report.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The hangar is locked due to a large
hole in the ship. Two engines were
destroyed, however, the androids
were deployed to assess the damage.
Our speed as dropped accordingly.
GERALD
How long until we get to earth?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Two months, two days, three hours.
Gerald stares at the alien ship. Hes captivated.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
I have tried changing course, but
the ship follows wherever we go.
Its locked on to us.
GERALD
Is there any way we could hit with
something?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
No, this ship is not built for
fighting.

57.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONT'D)
Were fortunate the ship stopped
firing at us or else we would have
been destroyed.
GERALD
Contact earth. Tell them what
happened?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Negative, the unknown ship has
jammed my communication system. I
cant make contact with earths
satellites.
GERALD
What the fuck?
Gerald is still astonished.
GERALD (CONTD)
Okay, have you tried hacking their
system?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Its impossible.
GERALD
But you were able to access the
piece of alien in the ship.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The operating system in the airship
is far more complicated and
superior. We were lucky they did
not hack me.
Fuck.

GERALD

Gerald stares at the ship.

GERALD (CONTD)
I have an idea. Land me on the
ship.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We dont know whats there. What if
it starts shooting at us again?
GERALD
I just discovered fucking aliens. I
want to go inside there and
explore.

58.
INT. CAPTAINS QUARTERS - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald is puts on a vest then a suit. He grabs a shoulder
holster and holster a gun. He rolls up his sleeves.
INT. ESCAPE POD #2 - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald in a spandex suit sits commanding the pod.
GERALD
Okay, cupcake. Land me.
Gerald puts on an astronaut helmet.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Good luck, Gerald.
Gerald turns to his shoulder. The dog is there in an
astronaut suit with its own helmet.
INT. ALIEN SHIP - CORRIDOR - MOMENTS LATER
Dim flashing lights, as if its an emergency. The whole place
looks really strangely futuristic, but doesnt seem like its
out of planet.
GERALD
Can I breathe here?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Signs show you can. Theres a
surprising amount of clean oxygen
in the ship.
Gerald takes off his helmet, gun in hand, walks cautiously.
He takes a deep breathe.
GERALD
(To earpiece) Bae. What do I do?
He knees down to take the helmet off the dog.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Search for the main controls of the
ship to destroy them. Be careful,
this is hostile territory.
GERALD
I know, but it doesnt seem like
anybody is here.
Gerald looks around. Nothing.

59.
GERALD (CONTD)
This ship looks human too. What the
fuck? This is really fucking weird.
INT. CONTROL ROOM - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald and the dog rush inside. Hes really sweaty.
The controls look like the piece of technology found earlier.
The pink slime is on most of the pieces seen.
GERALD
Woah, Bae. This is where the thing
came from. It looks just like it.
Gerald takes out a pack of smokes, lights one.
Gerald aims at the controls and unloads his clip.
POP! POP! POP! POP!
The terminals start to break down.
Gerald reloads then unloads again.
POP! POP! POP!
GERALD (CONTD)
That should do it. If someones
here, they wont be able to fly it.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Go back to the pod so I can bring
you on board, I have a plan.
GERALD
I should explore a bit, dont you
think?
No.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

GERALD
Its really strange nobodys here.
Not even a sign of people.
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald stares at the alien ship. Hes sweatier than before.
His ties lose.

60.
GERALD
Okay, do it.
We hear something unload from the ship.
Then we see one of the escape pods headed directly at the
alien ship.
5...
4...
3...
2...
1...
BOOM!
The escape pod hits the alien ship in one of its engines!
It tilts down, but doesnt fall or explode. It still hovers
in space.
GERALD (CONTD)
Oh, no. We only have two left.
Jesus fuck that things strong.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Its a big risk to leave ourselves
with one escape pod.
GERALD
Well, we only need one. What do you
think happened?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
I am just as bewildered as you,
Gerald.
Gerald stand there a moment, thinking.
GERALD
Fuck it. Lets bring it down.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Are you sure?
GERALD
Yeah, unload the sucker...
Suddenly, the ship comes back to life.

61.
GERALD (CONTD)
Oh, shit. Lets go. Its going to
kill us.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
The engines arent fully repaired.
GERALD
How far are we from kuipers belt?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
A few miles, we can lose him there.
Good thinking.
GERALD
Thanks, save the escape pod for our
last resort.
The alien ship fires some laser that passes by the ship.
Gerald gets freaked out, he falls on the floor.
GERALD (CONTD)
Fuck! Get us going!
The alien ship is flying oddly, but is still able to follow
Gerald. It fires two more times.
The volume of the shot is loud, its heard inside the ship.
Geralds ship bolts, the alien ship follows them.
GERALD (CONTD)
Fuck! Now Im pissed!
Gerald straps himself in the seat.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Hold on, this will be bad.
At a distance, the asteroids are seen from the window.
GERALD
Were almost there. Okay.
Gerald lights a smoke.
GERALD (CONTD)
Oh, fuck. My dog. Fuck, did I
forget him with the aliens?
Gerald unstraps himself and runs out.

62.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
You have to stay strapped. The ship
will turn too much you may hurt
yourself if not die.
GERALD
I need to find my dog.
INT. CORRIDOR - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald runs.
GERALD
Chuwey! Come here boy!
He whistles.
GERALD (CONTD)
Where the fuck is he?
Gerald gets knocked down to the ground by the ships abrupt
movement.
Out of the blue, the dog shows up running wild and scared.
GERALD (CONTD)
Okay, I got you, winnie.
INT. COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER
Gerald straps the dog in an odd way to the seat next to him.
GERALD
That should do it.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Were a mile away from kuipers
belt.
Gerald straps himself. He looks through the window. Asteroids
are roaming around hitting each other, clustered.
GERALD
Im gonna throw up.
The ship enters kuipers belt, asteroids are seen all over
the window.
Lights go all out. The alarm stops.
GERALD (CONTD)
What happened?

63.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Conserving energy for the engines.
GERALD
What are the odds of getting out of
this?
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
You dont want to know.
Geralds face looks frightened.
GERALD
(In defeat) I just want to go home.
EXT. SHIP (J.J. BAL.) - DAY - (FLASHBACK)
Gerald is rushing to the entrance, but is stopped by Tony,
from earlier.
Sirens are heard coming in their direction.
TONY
Stop, its a bad idea.
They both stop to catch their breathe.
GERALD
Why? Ill be the luckiest person on
the planet. I get to go to space.
TONY
Not like this, Gerald.
What?

GERALD

TONY
Youre acting out of impulse. Calm
down, itll blow over.
GERALD
I want to go to space.
TONY
Youre heartbroken. Its
understandable as to why you want
to leave the planet. I get it.
GERALD
Its not just about her. I hate
everything. I hate everybody.

64.
GERALD (CONT'D)
Lifes fucking unfair. Even when it
seems fair.
TONY
Please dont go.
Gerald gives tony a hug.
GERALD
Follow all your dreams. Lifes too
short to not to. I can stay here
and die an average Joe or I can
most likely die in space.
TONY
What about your family, your
friends?
GERALD
Fuck them. They never did anything
for me.
Gerald gives tony one last hug.
GERALD (CONTD)
Goodbye, Tony. Youre one of the
few good ones.
Gerald rushes onboard the ship.
GERALD (CONTD)
Mafioso in space. Fucking cool,
huh?
INT. COCKPIT - PRESENT
Back to gerald and his dog. Its silent, except for the
occasional swoosh of the asteroids passing by, and the laser
shots.
Gerald moves around in his seat. He taps his fingers in his
chair, nervously.
We see more asteroids from the window. The ship shakes
frequently.
The dog whimpers.
He pets the dog.
All of a sudden.

65.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
It stopped following us. My system
never picked up a lock on our ship.
It was following us manually.
GERALD
But their was nobody on the ship.
Nothing.
Strange.

ARTIFICIAL INTEL.

GERALD
I dont think there was suppose to
be somebody on the ship. I think
this alien is a computer. Like you.
Maybe the damage on the ship gave
it a glitch or something.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Makes sense. No way of knowing
really.
GERALD
It showed up like that right? I
dont remember what you told me.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Thats right. Came out of the blue
damaged. My guess is as good as
yours.
The ship is still in kuipers belt dodging asteroids.
GERALD
That was a close...
In a flash, the alien ship shows up in front of Gerald and
his ship. Clearly damaged and half tilted, Gerald sees it
clear surrounded by asteroids.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Its locked on our ship. Im
reading its locked. Its going to
fire at us!
GERALD
Escape pod!
Geralds ship shoots an escape pod at it just as the alien
ship fires a laser.
Geralds ship gets out of the way and an explosion is heard.

66.
BOOM!
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
That was a close one. The ship is
getting more difficult to maneuver,
Gerald.
GERALD
Would it be easier if we get in the
escape pod? You can move that one
better, right? We only got one
left.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
You can decide whatever youd like
Captn. I could use the last escape
pod to shoot at it or we could
deploy in it.
GERALD
Whatever you do, do not get rid of
our last escape pod. Fuck. Where
did it go?
Gerald looks around the asteroid field.
GERALD (CONTD)
This is fucking bullshit. Baby
girl, Its going to show up in
front of us again. Be careful.
Its silent. We here the continues swooshes of the ship.
Geralds scared.
GERALD (CONTD)
(To himself) Im not going to die.
Im not gonna die. Im gonna make
it and when I get home Im gonna
fuck finally fuck Sydney. Im gonna
fuck her. Im fucking, Im a badass
mothafucking man. I discovered
aliens. I fucked Heather once. I
fucking beat halo in legendary
alone. I fucking became a
millionaire on my own. I became a
businessman on my own. Im Not
going to die.
INT. HOUSE PARTY - NIGHT (FLASHBACK)
Packed. Ladies in dresses and men in suits, for the most
part. House party music plays in the background.

67.
EXT. HOUSE PARTY - CONTINUOUS
A few people are sitting around drinking and smoking when...
A car pulls up in the driveway.
Gerald, looking real good in a suit gets out with a golden
gun strapped to his shoulder holster.
Two MEN in suits, one has a fedora, get off the car with him.
One of these men passes him a baseball bat.
INT. HOUSE PARTY - CONTINUOUS
Gerald holds a bat, walks in with his two goons.
People begin to stare.
Gerald shuts off the music.
He looks around until he spots his man. TIM, chubby, bald, in
a suit, sits at the dinner table.
Gerald walks over to him, points the baseball bat to him.
GERALD
You know why Im here. Come here.
Gerald points to the center of the living room.
GERALD (CONTD)
Do you want me to come fucking get
you?
Tim gets out of his seat, walks over to Gerald.
TIM
Youre a real tough guy you...
Gerald hits him in the stomach with the bat. Tim falls to the
ground.
GERALD
You should have known better,
Timmy.
Gerald kicks him hard in the stomach.
GERALD (CONTD)
You see, you didnt just steal from
me. You stole from mafia.
He points to his two goons.

68.
GERALD (CONTD)
You also stole from them. Now Im
forced to take care of this
situation you got me under.
GOON #1
(Bostonian accent) Who the fuck do
you think you are, huh?
GOON #2
(Bostonian accent) You think you
can steal from us? Youre about to
get what you deserve.
GERALD
Why? Whyd you steal from me, Tim?
TIM
I didnt know you were with the
fucking mafia! Im sorry, Ill pay
you back!
GOON #1
No, we dont want your dough. We
want to teach everybody a lesson.
TIM
Youre a fucking jerk off, Gerald.
GERALD
Im a jerk off?
TIM
Everybody thought so.
Tims in pain. Gerald chuckles.
GERALD
Everybody thought I was a fucking
jerk off. Do you know who I am?
What Ive done?
TIM
Fuck you, kid. Youre not going to
kill me in front of everybody.
GERALD
We didnt come here to kill you. We
came here to hurt you. Do you want
me to kill you?
GOON #1
Enough talking, Gerald. Just get it
over with.

69.

Yeah.

GOON #2

GERALD
I asked you a fucking question.
TIM
No, but Ill kill you one day.
Whenever your business is done with
them. Ill set a fucking hit on
you.
GERALD
Im never going to die, Tim. Im
too lucky. Besides, you wont be
able to set a hit cause when Im
done with you youll be fucking
retarded. Thats fucking right. Im
leaving you retarded. Say goodbye
to your friends, youre family,
because when Im done with you, you
wont be able to fucking walk,
talk, shit, eat, youll be fucking
useless. Go ahead, say goodbye.
People stare at them scared.
GERALD (CONTD)
Stick your arm out. Close your
eyes. Do it.
Tim reluctantly sticks his arm out and closes his eyes.
GOON #1
Close your eyes ladies. This is
going to be messy.
A woman from the crowd tries to stop Gerald, but one of the
Boston goons stops her. The other goon takes out his gun.
Gerald raises the bat then....
He swings. Breaking Tims arm. Time screams in agony.
GERALD
Youre gonna set a hit on me? Yeah
fucking right. Youre not gonna be
the one who kills me. Im never
gonna fucking die!
Gerald swings at Tim when we...
CUT TO:

70.
INT. COCKPIT - PRESENT
Back to gerald and the dog. Gerald stares into the window.
The alien ship is directly in front.
Alarm goes off, red flashing lights again.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Gerald, it has our ship locked.
Its too difficult to..
ANGLE ON - Geralds face; hes terrified.
GERALD
(Softly) Im gonna die here.
The alien ship fires a laser at the same time its hit by an
asteroid. The alien ship tried to move away from it, but it
still got hit by it. It breaks in two, falls into the deep
abyss of space.
The laser hits Geralds ship. Theres a giant hole on the
ceiling of the bridge. Its sucking everything. It tries to
pull Gerald and the dog, but they arent due to the strap
ins.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
Sealing the cockpit doors.
The doors seal.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
Engines two, three, four, six, and
seven are destroyed. One, five,
ten, and twelve are loose I cant
control them. Its too difficult to
fly the ship, every time I want to
move it, it goes a different
direction due to the damaged
engines. They change throttle and I
cant stop it.
Gerald unstraps himself and tries to open the cockpit door.
He cant.
GERALD
Open the door, I need to get to the
escape pod.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
You cant make it to the escape
pod, theres a hole in the bridge,
youll get sucked into space.

71.
Geralds face is in despair. He gets knocked down from the
ships quick movements. He sits back down, straps himself.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
Gerald the odds of surviving for
all three of us are slim to none.
Im contacting earth, the
satellites are up.
Gerald doesnt move.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
This is the A.I. For J.J. BAL. We
have found extraterrestrial life.
Our ship has been hit too many
times. We are in kuipers belt
unable to maneuver properly.
ANGLE ON - Geralds face in despair. A tear rolls down his
cheek when we...
FADE OUT.

We are in front of a door. The moaning is a lot louder,
clearly coming from the room.
INT. HOUSE - ROOM - CONTINUOUS

GERALD
Finally. Finally.
Gerald turns her around doggie style.

72.
SYDNEY
Gerald. Oh my god.
CUT TO:
MOMENTS LATER
They two lay next to each other.
SYDNEY
What would you have done? Would you
have ended your two year
relationship with your girlfriend
for me?
Gerald doesnt answer. Hes got a big smile on his face.
I knew it.

SYDNEY (CONTD)

GERALD
Well, I am a son of a bitch so,

Liar.

SYDNEY

GERALD
Whats love?
INT. OFFICE - DAY
Plain looking. A HANDSOME MAN, in a suit, is at his desk.
Gerald walks in holding a script. He puts it on the table.
GERALD
I finished it in space. Im sure

ANGLE ON - The script is titled: J.J. BAL.
INT. HOUSE - DAY
Gerald, in a suit, is facing his MOM and DAD.
GERALD
Im sorry. I held a grudge against
you for not raising me properly. If

ended up with a horrifying mediocre
life.

CUT TO:
INT. COCKPIT - PRESENT
Back to Gerald and his dog. Red lights flashing, alarm off.
The ship is moving around a lot trying to dodge the
asteroids.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL.
We wont last long. I cant keep
this up, odds are that any second
an asteroid will it us. The engines
are still unresponsive.
ANGLE ON - Geralds face in hopelessness when...in the
background, we see an explosion.
The ship got hit in the back by an asteroid.
Geralds point of view: Hes headed directly into a large
asteroid.
ARTIFICIAL INTEL. (CONTD)
Gerald. Im so sorry.
BOOM!
The ship is completely crashed.
