Jan. 20, Wed.- Youth Bible Study will meet at the church, 7 p.m.
Jan. 20, Wed.-Bowmansville District Sewing Circle will meet in the morning and
afternoon. This is the month for our carry in lunch, so bring a hot or cold dish to
share with the group. Place settings and drink are provided. The project for this
month is Newborn Kits. Kits include the following new items: 2 gowns/sleepers

(flannel or similar warm, soft material), 2 undershirts/onsies (short or long sleeves)


4 cloth diapers (flat-fold preferred),1 receiving blanket (light weight fleece or
flannel; min. 36 inches), 4 large safety pins, 1 bar mild soap in wrapper, 1 pair of
socks, 1 cap. Fold items into the receiving blanket and fasten with safety pins. Kits
can be brought to the church and sewing circle will see they are taken to MCC.

Jan. 21, Thurs.-He Named Me Malala-MEDA will host an exclusive showing of
this critically-acclaimed documentary at Penn Cinema in Lititz. 4:30 p.m. Heavy
hors doeuvres at 5:30 p.m. Feature presentation and professional commentary.

Jan. 26, Tues.- You are invited to help with the work of MCC at MRC from 9 a.m.3 p.m. There is work for men and women. In addition to quilting, knotting
comforters, or working on projects in the sewing room, work projects include
packing relief supplies, and various recycling projects. You are welcome to come
for the entire time, or just a few hours as it suits you. Please bring you lunch if you
can help the entire time. Drink is provided.
Jan. 28, Thurs.- Our church will be Walking with Jesus locally by providing the
Community Meal in Denver. Sign up sheets for food donations and helpers are
located in the narthex. If you have questions, please see Loretta Gockley. Thanks!
Jan. 28., Thurs.- LMS will hold a school-wide open house from 6-8:30 p.m. at its 5
campuses: Hershey(K-12), Kraybill(PreK-8) in Mt. Joy, Lancaster(Grades 6-12),
Locust Grove(PreK-8) in E. Lampeter Twp, and New Danville(PreK-5). The open
house will include guided tours and an opportunity to meet teachers and

Feb. 6, Sat. -Woodcrest Retreats Sweetheart Banquet will be held at the ALIVE
CHURCH (formerly Ephrata Mennonite Church) at 6 p.m. John and Sharon Charles
from Abundant Living will be speaking on the theme "Love That Lasts". Come
enjoy delicious food, special music and encouragement for your marriage! Cost:

-Please pray for the young people of our congregation who are participating in
ACC Bible Quizzing this year. We have four teams involved and are quizzing on
Acts 6-28. You are invited to attend the opening evening of the 2016 Bible
Quizzing season on Sunday, January 17th at Weaverland Mennonite, beginning at
6:30 p.m. We will be hosting several other teams for quizzing here at Gehmans on
Sunday, February 7th at 2 p.m. Additional schedule information is available on the
table in the narthex.
-The Ephrata Re-Uzit Stores appreciate your continued support as you share
with us your wonderful volunteers, your donated goods and shopping with us.
Currently they are looking for a part-time staff person to manage our donations
room and supervise our initial sorting process at our Main Street Thrift store in

-Crossfire Youth Ministries is seeking a part-time (30 hours) Program Assistant.
Duties include, but are not limited to administrative support and assistance with
youth ministry, programs and activities at Denver and Ashland. Applicants must
have a strong commitment to God and the Christian Faith. Knowledge of MS Office
software required and an understanding of QuickBooks a plus. Resumes may be
