ACCOMPLISHMENTS (2015)
FEMA funded reconstruction work to repair Sandy damage is
almost complete. The only project left is the damage to the
bulkhead evidenced by the sink holes.
The major FEMA work to date was funded through a BAN of
$825,939 which was borrowed 1 years ago. On January 6,
2016 the BAN was fully paid off.
On March 15th the Village borrowed $650,000 to fund the
pavilion at Ho-Hum beach and the gazebo at Osborn Park.
The Village is anticipating reimbursement from FEMA for the
pavilion late spring. Construction of the gazebo has been
completed. Staining and painting will begin when weather
permits. The Village anticipates receiving the FEMA
reimbursement by December 2016.
The Village hired a Golf Course Maintenance Company and
saved $258,869 dollars in year 1
Equipment purchase for Hwy Department
1. A new dump truck
2. Two new pickup trucks
3. A new pay loader
4. Hot box for pot hole repair
5. Salt shed at the Highway yard
Replaced 8 road drains in the Village that were in danger of
collapsing
Repaved the Country Club parking lot
Through FEMA funding electrical upgrades at the dock were
completed at a cost of $310,873
Built an ADA walkway at the North end of the Marina
Renovated the pump house at the Golf Course
