a vital Role
to Play
Take A Seat and join our distinguished group of
supporters. Have your name permanently engraved on
an Orchestra or Balcony Seat. Or give a unique gift to
mark a holiday or special occasion, honor a loved one,
promote your business, or make a memorial tribute.
You can take pride in playing a vital role, through your
important financial commitment to the Hear + Now
Campaign, in securing the future of Augustas premier
home for the performing arts.
Your gift may be made in the form of a pledge,
check, credit card, or stock. Making a gift of
appreciated stock is easy to do, and can also provide
substantial tax benefits for you. You may be
entitled to a federal income tax deduction for
the full fair market value of the donated shares,
and avoid capital gains tax on the stocks appreciation. See specific instructions on the enclosed
reply card, or ask us for additional information.
If you are interested in the unique naming
opportunities available at higher levels, we will be
happy to discuss options with you.
Should you have questions concerning your
gift, or would like to learn more about the Hear +
Now Campaign, please contact Jennifer Voth
at 706.826.4704 or jenniferv@soaugusta.org.

Thank YOu!

Now

ight now, Symphony Orchestra Augusta is spearheading a

campaign to restore the historic Miller Theater, expand its
role as an extraordinary concert venue and, with the addition
of the building next door, provide
a home for educational programming
as part of the newly created
Knox Music Institute.
In 1940, the Miller Theater first
opened to a sold-out audience.
Designed in the Art-Moderne style,
with Italian marble terrazzo, black
walnut millwork, fluted columns, and
hand-painted panels, the Miller was widely considered Augustas
most exquisitely designed and engineered theater. The Augusta Chronicle
congratulated Frank Miller on his achievement calling it an enduring
monument to your faith in Augustas future.
Today, we renew our faith in Augustas future with the restoration of
this historic space. A concert hall and destination for the performing arts
opera, ballet, muscial theater, as well as soul, rock and jazzthe theater
will be the home for Symphony Orchestra Augusta.

You are invited to take a seat in Brian J. Marks Hall in

the historic Miller Theater and permanently associate your
name with Augustas new home for the performing arts.
