 Why Buy Your Christmas Tree At Timberline Gardens?
You just can’t find fresher Christmas trees
than the ones at Timberline Gardens.
We have fresh cut trees ranging from
$16 to $190. Concolor Fir trees are
far and beyond the longest lasting
cut trees you’ll find anywhere.
We receive Concolor Firs from
cold, northern plantations
in Michigan. The firs have
layered branches ideal
for old-fashioned heavy
ornaments. The plantation
firs are densely branched and
out-compete any other plantation
tree for fragrance and longevity.

Our other most popular cut tree is the Frasier
Fir. Its deep green, fragrant needles can’t
be beat for that traditional Christmas tree
look. Also northern grown, Frasiers will hold
up very well compared to other species. We
sell more Frasiers than any other variety.
When you walk into Timberline’s tree lot, you’ll
notice something different. All of our Christmas
trees are standing up in water! Most tree
lots are on sunny, windy parking lots
where the trees dry out very quickly.
If they get their trees from the
northwestern U.S., they aren’t
tough enough to stand up to
our dry air. When you take
it home, the tree quickly
fades. If you haven’t
been happy with your
trees in the past, try one
from Timberline Gardens.
Every year more and more people
are buying live, potted Christmas
trees. We offer various pines and
spruce trees from three feet to eight feet high.
We recommend that you keep it outdoors until
just before Christmas then bring it inside for
only a few days. Place it back outside when
temperatures are above freezing in a shel-
tered spot. Plant it in the ground as soon
as possible. If appropriate, dig the planting
hole in advance of the holidays before the
ground is frozen. Cover the hole with a
piece of plywood so that no one falls in!

all a good lesson about
how important winter
watering is. We had
virtually no precipita-
tion between January
and April and many
gardeners had tremen-
dous losses of younger
trees and shrubs. Almost
everyone had damage to
turf grass. Mites thrive on
sunny slopes and on the
sunny sides of trees and
buildings. When we have
no moisture, the mites
thrive. Rain washes them
away! Try to water at least
once a month especially
on younger trees and
shrubs. Water turf grass
once or twice a month,
especially in sunny
drought-prone areas.
