The supermarket

I like to shop in a supermarket. There is a very big supermarket in the

centre of town. The supermarket sells many different things. I go to
the supermarket every Monday and I buy all the food I need for the week.
I can drive there in my car. It is open Monday to Saturday, from 7.30am to 5.00pm. I
like to go early – at 9.00am before it gets too busy.

Samir

The market

I like to shop at the market. The market is in the street next to my

college. Different people sell meat, fish, fruit and vegetables. The market
is very busy. Sometimes I meet my friends there. The market is open 3
times a week – Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. I go to the market every Monday and
Wednesday after my English class. The market closes at 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

Flora

The local shop

I always buy my food at my local shop. The shop is quite small, but it
sells many things. I can get everything I need. The shop is very close to
my flat. I like the man who works in the shop. He is from my country.
We always say hello. The shop is open very late – it closes at 11.00pm. It is open every
day. I always go to my local shop on Sunday after lunch because I am very busy in the
week.
